The Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) has said that the steep fall of Karnataka in the Ease of Doing Business rank of the states to 17 is quite disappointing.
Anguished over the poor ranking of Punjab in “ease of doing business”, the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the state slammed the government and said in terms of corruption nothing has changed since years.

Association Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal delivered the State Business Reform Action Plan Ranking for 2019 in Delhi on Saturday, within the sight of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Hardeep Singh Puri. Of all out 187 changes under 17 classifications, Telangana actualized 184 changes. In a bid to enhance Ease of Doing Business (EODB) environment, the Kerala government has modified 'Kerala single window interface for fast and transparent clearance' (KSWIFT) to facilitate immediate clearance for investment proposals up to Rs 10 crore.
The government of Karnataka has allowed all shops and commercial establishments in the state, employing ten or more persons, to be open on 24x7 basis on all days of the year for a period of three years.
