Day 11 of the #samhainwitchychallenge (I do my best to catch it up !) : Symbol. Actually I have a very personal sigil I use as a witchy signature for years and wear tattooed on my back but I don't want to show it on line. It's something very special and private, and I don't want to see someone else use it. So here's another symbol, tattooed on my skin as well : the futhark rune Eolh. It means a lot to me since I get this tattoo during a very tough moment of my life and wanted it as a magical way to protect myself and always remember my identity as a witch. I guess I conjured a rune today

I ordered this beautiful set of runes on moonstone about a year ago, and one of the things that upset me (and part of the reason I haven’t touched them until a few days ago) was that it was missing Eolh/algiz. And I remember this specifically because one of its meanings is divinity/communication with the gods/protection and I laughed to myself cause I thought it was a sign that I was missing god in my life.

I put them away, and they’ve been charging by my salt lamp for, again, about a year. A few days ago they were calling out to me so I started carrying them around with me. Then I started researching them again, learning their meanings, writing down information about them in my book of shadows. Again, eolh was missing. I tied them up in my little baggy and put them in my backpack and traveled around with them for a few days. Today I was cleaning out my backpack because I was taking it on a nature walk with me and wanted it to be as light as possible, and at the very bottom. Do you know what I saw. fucking eolh

I swear on everything I believe in I under no circumstances had that rune with me. It just fucking appeared out of no where. I don’t exactly know what to make of it except I guess the gods are with me now.
