"I am not a Terran, not a fraud, and not a troll."
long context post
Eosome is one of the two official languages of Buyan, as the common language used by the indigenous Wonao people. The use of Eosome is an act of patriotism against Terran rule.
Three kinds of people are seen as enemies to Buyanski society, with varying extents:
Terrans
Collectively hated as oppressors due to their 400 years of misrule and abuse towards Buyanski people. It was also due to the severe corruption practiced all over the Terran colonies that divided and occupied Buyan, all for the sake of war and power, resulting in widespread abuse and murder.
Not all Terrans are subject to contempt: those who willingly joined or surrendered to the revolutionaries were usually spared. Those who are seen as repentant, refusing to participate in such corruption and cruelty, are also accepted into Buyanski society.
Frauds
As victims of fraudsters, or collectively by Terran rulers who lied to them and kept most Buyanski in poverty, the Buyanski revived their traditional hatred of frauds.
In ancient Wonao and Buyanski culture, fraud is listed as one of the worst sins, and frauds were usually punished by death.
This was also due to the Buyanski seeking revenge against the Salvationist Party. For their role in allowing the Terrans to colonise and enslave Buyan, the Salvationist Party (Sterne Spasanverije) is seen as one of the Terran colonisers who fought for control over the entire island. Salvationists, or Sterspasniks, became hated as among the worst of all traitors and frauds, especially because of their supremacist views and attacks against their own people.
Trolls
Online trolling was very popular among the Terran colonies, both due to it being a trend that lasted for centuries, and the war between the Terran empires that influenced their society.
The same culture of trolling fuelled a society of lying, abuse, and murder, where every form of cruelty was acceptable as long as it did not affect the trolls. Inevitably, nearly every Terran who participated in this "culture" received cruelty, even as they continued to grieve in rage if they managed to survive.
Horrified by this vicious cycle of abuse, and angered by the hypocritical attitudes of the trolls, the Buyanski prohibited any of their own people from any behaviours seen as "trollish". Ancient taboos were revived as a code of honour, so practices such as sadism and whataboutism were punished with cruelty, as if the offenders immediately became war criminals. Terrans became collectively known as "trolls" due to the widespread practice of trolling and harrassment, along with any Buyanski who also behaved like them.
This same obsession with revenge resulted in a civil war over the fate of Terrans who surrendered to the revolution, where a faction of Buyanski sought the total destruction of the "trolls", who now repented and lived as outcasts. The revolution prevailed because its allies wanted to stop the fanatics from turning Buyan into another warmongering regime.
The term "josor" (yosor) is a Eosome word referring to the warmth of a lantern or the glow of a fire. In later times, as the ancient Wonaos built splendid kingdoms of their own, they used this term to refer to their way of life and their culture.
