Killjoys - Sneak Peek EP 5.04 Ship Outta Luck
Thoughts on tonights episode -> YIKES.
I am unsure who okayed some of this writing but....
The Good
Jim is going through it and it's time he realize what Gotham is about. Pure hell on earth. He takes it out on some civilians and Oswald just to find some semblance of stability.
Lucius had some scenes!! Yes! True screentime for my boy! The moments with him and Edward were the best. They have this reluctance but respectful nature towards one another that I LOVE. But that being said Ed's 5 episode fiasco could have been 3. I don't know why the writer's made it longer.
Alfred and Bruce fighting side by side is the best music *cue DJ Khaled* and seeing them work to get Selina back is adorable.
Selina being the sly cat girl she is has taken no L's. She gets her revenge but it's sudden and unsatisfying. One minute Jerry's singing to his own tune, next minute he's on the floor and I am like... Bro I just blinked. How she get Ecco's clothes anyways? I would have liked to have seen that.
Oswald and Zsasz. Make any show entertaining in the least. The shootout with Penguin's army was great. Also the court scene was fun. I will be honest, must be hard to carry a half season until the Joker comes as far as bad guys go. Zsasz was enchanting as always with his zingers. But this feels like the last we will see of him in the series :(
I liked when Oswald brought his goons to the GCPD and they essentially barked for Zsasz. GOLD.
The Bad
Ummmm...why did Babs parts seem weird? Like she didn't shoot Penguin, and went to Jim in the end? What? She lost Tabs so now she loses her mind? No, Gotham don't do that. Don't muddle her.
Jim all gunhoe about what's right and what's wrong, wants a shootout with Zsasz he's clear to lose, picks on Oswald when this man saw fit to help you (for his own means) and is generally drunk and pissed at the world but sleeps with Babs for comfort. Wow. That's low. Jim and Babs deserve more than that.
The Ugly
Ed is the bomber. But why would he hit the helicopter before you ask? I can surmise he did it to lure Oswald. This was a twist and I ain't mad at it. He's killed countless people in the past in cold blood. So what's a few hundred? He is losing his mind again and there is only so much paper one can throw around before getting the answers. Next week Bane. I hope we get no more new characters after this.
TL:DR
This episode was a lot and not in the way I hoped in some bits. Lots of Oz and Jim interactions which were great. 8 more to go gang. 😩🍺
I have a very strict policy against fun.
Ally McBeal
Jenny: Raymond, if I'm going to be your lawyer, I'm going to BE your lawyer. I'm not going to be a puppet.
Raymond: That's too bad, I was hoping to put my hand up...
