tendril love (In Person Outdoors at Mim’s Farm): breathing room residency culminating event with artist in residence Wendel Vistan Saturday, October 2 6 – 8pm
Come on down to the farm as Wendel Vistan presents tendril love, a new eco-processed super 8 film created during her time as the very first breathing room artist in residency. breathing room is a new artist residency program from EPFC North and Iris Film Collective that reimagines the artist residency as a fluid space for collaboration, experimentation, relaxation, and community connection. Wendel explored analog film techniques and technologies in telling a story of Mim’s Farm, a special place that “holds a space for conversations about the local histories of the area surrounding the Big Bend [of South Burnaby] and the Chinese migrants who farm on the land.”
Mim’s Farm is located at 6137 10th Ave, Burnaby. The location is accessible by transit: get off the 22nd stop on the Expo Line and can ride the 100 bus from there or walk/bike 10-15 mins.
