Involuntary Semi-Hiatus?

Hey everyone! So I wanted to give you all an update so you don’t worry about me or anything. It’s just that our cable company is actually the worst and we have no TV or internet right now and probably won’t till somewhere between 3-5 PM tomorrow my time zone at the soonest. I had to go to a public library just to type this out =_= But I’m alright, I just won’t be here for a little while. Take care of yourselves and I’ll be around when I can.

Someone talk me out of adding a Pokémon muse to my blog (probably both blogs) while I still am trying to figure out who I’d even add (I’d go straight for Skyla probably if Snow hadn’t already made a blog for her but having a good Skyla around is not a complaint).

Also talk me out of adding 3 OCs that I’ve already created to my blog and definitely both blogs

[Ngl I miss those positivity blogs...there was one for FE, one for AA, even one for RP blogs in general but I haven’t seen a sign of anything like that in years. Did tumblr finally become so toxic those blogs have become totally extinct?]

So I’m probably gonna be gone most of the day because I have a second vaccination shot to get today but I’d love to remind you all that it is Morgan’s birthday and please do feel free to send things to either this blog or the sideblog to give either one birthday wishes and also much-needed and deserved love so we can tell these corrupted Morgans IS decided to give us FOR THEIR DAMN BIRTHDAY to fuck off and proeserve our best sonboys and doters.. I’ll try to get to them later in the day!

So...this may be a contentious opinion to much of the Ace Attorney fandom, but I absolutely have to get this off my chest. I’m gonna go ahead and put a cut under the main point here because this became a bit of a wall of text fast.

For god’s sake, this argument irritates me so much! Look, I get it, you ship Narumitsu. Personally, I don’t, but more power to you if you do. But stop trying to logic that this ship MUST BE CANON. I mean he might not have even become an attorney if Edgeworth had said a single word to him when he tried to get in touch after seeing all these reports of this “demon prosecutor” Edgeworth had apparently become, and let’s not forget, he wasn’t fully dedicated to being a lawyer to start out with, also studying art until Mia defending him in Turnabout Memories convinced him to pursue law full-time. 

And on the subject of people dedicating themselves to save others, I don’t see people trying to force Athena/Blackquill on others or insist it’s canon even close to nearly as much. I’m rather uncomfortable with that ship to be honest, but if you’re going to make that argument for Phoenix/Edgeworth, your logic would dictate that Athena must have romantic feelings for Simon as well. Hell, she was determined to be a law student for longer and worked at it for more of her life than Phoenix did, and all primarily for the sake of saving Simon. 

Bottom line, I’m tired of some people in this fandom trying to force ships or insist that certain ships are canon because of “x reason” and one of the ships I’ve noticed this happening a lot with is Narumitsu, and this isn’t even getting into Narumayo, that’s a totally different rant with some really old scars. God, even in Fire Emblem I don’t have to deal with people cramming ships down my throat as much, and just a reminder, Chrobin and its rabid “THIS SHIP IS CANON” fanbase exists in FE, to put what I’m saying here in context.

On the one hand, Vivi is the cutest and has literally one of the best and most complex character arcs ever, and is probably my favorite character from the best Final Fantasy (THAT’S RIGHT FINAL FANTASY IX IS THE BEST, I SAID IT)

On the other hand, Lulu is the attractive goth gf that has a slight bit of tsundere in her but has a lot more nuance and complexity than that, and I love her character arc as well, and god I just love X’s cast as a whole. 

If you have any strong opinions about either, now would be the time to voice them.]
