She stared at the male warily and slowly shook her head. That was all she could even think or say to him. What the hell was he thinking in the first place. Why did she even let him into her room? Why did she even decide to stay at the share house instead at the apartment where no one knew where she was hiding. All the questions but that didn’t seem to concern her at the moment. It was the man who sat there that concerned her. It was that single question— no it was that weird comment that came out of his mouth. Of all the things he could’ve said… he decided to say that. That asshole. What the hell did he even mean by sloth?!
“Chance, get yourself together. Don’t make me slap you, I swear to god…”
Trailing off, she buried her face into her hands again. Not caring about a single thing in the entire world. She was sleepy from the lack of rest during the past week. It was horrid and she wished this upon no one unless they wanted some sort of death like experience. Maybe that was just a exaggeration but it really did feel like a death like experience. It drained her more than it should, she had absolutely no energy for anything— not even getting up to go to the bathroom was an option. It was that bad.
But what made it worse was that Chance decided to make some smart ass comment to her puppy that she had brought over to the share house for the day. He was simply just hanging around her room until he had to go out to do whatever he had to do. Laptop on his lap and her few months old dog was sitting in between her and the male, flickering his ear a few times in response to the words that seem to be exchanged in between the humans. Sloths, of all the things that he could compare her to… and not to mention he had the audacity to bring up the fact that she was snoring for the first time in a long while. Like it was his first time hearing her snore.
“Just because I’m as lazy as a sloth can ever be when I’m dead tired and almost sick… doesn’t mean you have the damn right to call me one. And what do you know? They probably do make noises so… you shut your mouth.” Wow, how pathetic was that ending of her ending. Who knew she was going to come up with something like that. “Don’t even say another word because I might want to kill you when I get my energy back…” Murmuring, Seulgi felt her energy drain more and more as she talked and it was all his fault.
his eyebrows knitted closely together. he’d held onto her wrist after a few pets on the furball lazing around much like its owner. “stop trying to seduce me,” said chance in a monotone before flashing a grin at the ill-looking female’s direction. maybe his grip was a bit too tight, she’s not the type to admit so. she liked to act tough. not that he’d say she wasn’t but he didn’t know for sure what she was capable of. the cheeky expression was the only way he could think of getting away with his instinctive action. “damn... you and your kinks. they’re always crazy violent.” he continued, letting go of her wrist before winking and letting out a chuckle exuding mischief.
it was just his personality. there was no changing it for anyone. somehow, even though seulgi would often be irritated by his antics, they’d managed to become close. not so much but enough to say they were comfortable with each other, just like this. it could be because there wasn’t a choice, just that they’re stuck with one another all this time they’ve known each other.
what a bad move, he’d thought. if she hadn’t said anything about her being too tired to do anything about anything he says, he would have stopped right then but it was all the more reason to tease the female. she couldn’t do anything about it, right? “you dum dum,” he ruffles her already disheveled hair fresh from slumber. “why’d you tell me that when you know I could use it against you, silly? by then you’d forget i said anything because i always say something.” he shook his head, shoulders lifting at every chuckle he let out. there was truth to that. he’d comment here and there, it was often. he was witty enough to come up with something every couple of minutes. at least, he thinks so.
and again, another slip. was she really this impulsive now? naive? he didn’t remember her this bad. maybe she was that exhausted or maybe he didn’t know her all that well. nonetheless, he’d seen her as a little sister. she acted exactly like one. whiny and a bit demanding. hostile to the point of violence. he hadn’t seen it firsthand, as in a hands-on fist fight. he didn’t wish so, however. being in a cruel environment that condoned all sorts of physical brutality, he could only hope for friends and kin alike to keep out of the dirty streets. “sloths do make noises. you know, cute squeaks. the ones you do when you feel like pulling all those feminine wiles on me. but not so much as those roars when you sleep. that’s more like a lion. what do you even dream about? damn, you’re wild even in your dreams.”
with just that, he still wasn’t satisfied. he enjoyed poking fun at her. although, he hoped she wouldn’t take it personally later on. “alright, miss sloth. do you need me to carry you to the bathroom or something? i’m sure at this point you’re just holding back a piss. if you’re that tired, i can help you out. no need to be shy.”
