I love feeling wanted.
The last week or so, I’ve had a handful of recruiters from various companies reach out to me via Indeed, LinkedIn, etc. I’ve interviewed with a few places, but I’m not moving anywhere in the immediate future. And even though that’s the case, it honestly feels really good to be wanted.
Of course, I have to relate this back to God in some way, right? Because...everything, I mean EVERYTHING that we ever experience in life points to Him in some way. Well, this one isn’t too difficult. These recruiters often times sweet talk me with some form of “I looked at your LinkedIn page / resumé, etc. and I’m very impressed. I’d love to talk to you about opportunities at ______”
God looks at my life and there is nothing that He’s impressed by. NOTHING. There are, however, lots of things that disgust Him, infuriate Him, and disappoint Him. And yet, by His sheer grace alone, He tells me He wants me. And loves me. And accepts me, even saves me - not on the basis of my accomplishments or credentials, but on the basis of the righteousness of Jesus Christ.
Via Christ’s perfect resumé, I am welcomed into God’s company.
And let me tell you, the life insurance there is unbeatable.
