I thought when the story leaked that Charles had chipped in for Andy’s settlement that it had Willy’s crisis managers prints all over it. How convenient that story ended up with Wilkinson, who is one of KP’s preferred lapdogs, on the evening that Willy returns from Saudi with Lizzie framed as acting like a loving mum but no such grace for Charles.
And this rebuttal just further confirms my suspicion. I don’t think Pa has time for Willy’s media games when the only person who has never really got on with Andy is him.

King Charles did not contribute to the £12 million payout made by Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to settle a case brought against him by one of Jeffrey Epstein’s victims, a source close to the King confirmed last night. The palace moved to distance Charles from the payout, denying reports he contributed £1.5 million of the total payout to Virginia Giuffre, who accused the former duke of having sex with her, aged 17, after she was trafficked to London by Epstein. Andrew has denied wrongdoing and said that he did not remember meeting her but paid an undisclosed sum, understood to be $15 million (then worth around £12 million), to settle a civil sexual assault lawsuit in 2022. According to The Sun around £7 million came from the late Queen as a “loan”, with a further £3 million from the estate of his father Prince Philip. A further £1.5 million was reportedly contributed by other members of the royal family. It is understood, however, that the King did not contribute.
What surprised me from The Sun's reporting is that money from Philip's estate was involved. Was the "£3 million" from Philip's estate the money Andrew was to inherit from Philip, and since it wasn't disbursed to Andrew yet, they allotted it or whatever for the settlement? I would assume that Philip's will would have dictated the disbursement of remaining funds, so Andrew couldn't have received £3 million from Philip's estate unless it was already pre-determined.
Likewise the remaining "£1.5 million" could be from Anne and/or Edward "loaning" Andrew the money for his settlement. It wasn't directly from their bank accounts yet because it was money they were due to inherit from Philip's estate that they hadn't received. I would assume they would have had to sign some paperwork allowing Andrew to be lent the "£1.5 million," which is why the money has been referred to as a "loan." They lent him the money with the understanding that he is to pay it back at some point.
Charles was never likely to inherit money from Philip to begin with as he had no need as The Duke of Cornwall. Philip knew that Charles would inherit the Duchy of Lancaster when QEII passed away. This is my theory of why Charles is likely not involved in the payout.
The £7 million from QEII was an advance on Andrew's inheritance from his mother. I seem to recall an article or someone somewhere mentioning that when it happened four years ago (2022). That seems to have gotten lost in the shuffle. The £3 million was what Andrew inherited from Philip. The remaining £1.5 million from the "other royals" is likely a "loan" from Edward and/or Anne that Andrew needs to pay back. I suspect that Charles was attributed to the £1.5 million because everyone knows he's the richest of QEII's four children. However, if the money being used was Andrew's inheritance money, aside from the amount attributed to "other royals," then none of it came from the Duchy of Cornwall.

An Emirati billionaire who donated £1million to Prince William's Earthshot charity has been sacked by DP World following his disturbing email and text exchanges with Jeffrey Epstein about sex, escorts and a torture video. Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem was named as one of the 'six wealthy, powerful men' whose identities were initially redacted in the documents released by the US Department of Justice. The Prince of Wales' Earthshot Prize has been reported to the UK's Charity Commission over their links to Sulayem. He was a 'Global Alliance Founding Partner' of Earthshot through his job and made donations of at least £1million to the climate charity. But today it was revealed the 71-year-old has left the role as chair and chief executive of DP World, having transformed the Dubai-based group's fortunes and earning himself an estimated $7billion in the process. The Epstein Files revealed that he and Epstein emailed and texted regularly for years, including about their sex lives. In one message Epstein asked how he was and then told him: 'I loved the torture video.' In another lewd note Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem told the financier: 'After several attemps [sic] for several months we managed to meet in NY. there is a missunderstanding [sic] she she wanted some BUSINESS! while i only wanted some P*SSYNESS!'
I think the Wales Wailers are pretending it's not happening. They seem to think that guilt by association something to believe in when it's people they don't like, such as Charles or Camilla, but William is just an honest bystander! Somehow that concept never gets used for the people they don't like. Convenient.
I don't think anyone in BP knew that this crisis was going to come out. What annoys me is how some people refuse to place any blame on QEII. Tom Sykes is a perfect example. And yet, eighteen months ago, Ephraim Hardcastle pointed out that QEII would obliquely punish courtiers who brought it up!
With confirmation that Prince Andrew has been invited to spend time with the King at Balmoral later this month, it emerges that when the Epstein-related allegations against him were revealed in 2015, the late Queen was quite dismissive of them. Three senior members of the Royal Household wrote to Her Majesty suggesting it would be wise if Andrew were suspended from royal duties pending a full inquiry. The trio received a curt reply conveying the royal displeasure from an assistant private secretary. And their invitations to the staff Christmas party that year appeared to have got lost in the post.
Am I supposed to believe that those "three senior members" went running to Charles when he wasn't the monarch? And to think that the above incidents happened when the Allegedly Perfect Private Secretary, aka Christopher Geidt, was at the height of his powers then! IF QEII is doing discreet punishments amongst her courtiers for those who brought up Andrew's misdeeds, then what would they solve by going to Charles, who wasn't their boss?
Part of the problem is in the last 20 years of QEII's life people absolved her for any kind of wrong doing because hagiography is easy. QEII was a classist, who didn't think her dresser Angela Kelly should have dated someone from the kitchens! But QEII gets a pass on all her bad judgements because she was a) old at the time and b) female.
I suspect KCIII didn't find out the Andrew details that were previously given to QEII until after he became king. The only way he would have found out previously is IF he was briefed on it separately beforehand. I haven't seen anything reliable indicating that actually happened.
I would guess that BP is using Edelman for crisis. That's just my guess. If Charles still keeps in regular contact with Julian Payne, then why not?
