Dream We Had of A Cool Website That Doesn’t Exist but It Would Be Epic If It Did

Yesterday, as part of Otherkin Day, us, a friend, and our partner system watched the latter play, 2064: Read Only Memories.

A heavy part of the game’s plot revolves around an anti-transhumanist group who protests/discriminates against people who have had genetic body modification. Playing that game before bed impacted our dreams and we had a dream of an alterhuman, transhumanistt, and transgender resource website. The website was a well categorized/searchable list of possible ways to modify the body (both temporarily and permanently) as well as list possible ways to add to the body for similar customization (like clothing, apparel, wise). For each category information was included. For example, one thing we recall was a page on top surgery. The page included the different methods surgically taken, information on what will need to be done both pre-op, immediately after post-op, and long-term post-op. Short term care of the healing chest, longer term care of the scars sort of thing. Contained some pros, cons. List of complications, etc. All with citations and even recommended “read more see this” links. There was also a section people could click to where people could send in their own personal journeys with that type of body modification.  This kind of thing went on and on for lots of things. Ear pointing, sub-dermal implants, permanent hair removal, and so on and more. The website even had stuff for more commonplace modification like tattoos (like a tattoo’s long term care needs). The website also had pages for more body decoration related things. A page just on the pros/cons, ethical concerns for both real and flux fur tails (Each having a page regarding how they are made, upkeep, etc. Plus, for real fur tails, some ideas on how to learn where specific sellers get their fur from. And for flux tails some subpages on how flux tails can be made included some more advanced stuff like adding a rig inside the tail to make it have more realistic movement limitations as well as links to people who make electric tails.) Pages on things like fangs (both custom made as well as ones that can be just bought at Halloween stores, their pros/cons between them, some upkeep information, any hazards to keep in mind. Other pages included masks, some basic how fursuits are made stuff, and so much more. The website also had pages talking about the extremely experimental types of modification (like Neil Harbisson and the antenna implanted in his skull, etc.) Other things this website in our dream had was like links to news regarding breakthroughs in medicine and sciences related to modification, anything regarding modification in the political sector, and more. It was a cool dream.

Had An Epic Dream Based In/On The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

The dream began with a mad-scientist-like wizard kidnapping a dozen muggle preteens and young teens to experiment on to see if muggles could be induced or forced to have magical abilities. His intent being that if it could be done the magical world could become the majority and force the muggles to be the ones living in secret or something along those lines.

The muggle children are effectively tortured every day for days on end with the dark wizard trying out a number of different spells, potions, magical objects, etc to force magical abilities to appear in them. While they are not being experimented on they are locked in a large jail-like room together.

The dream fast forwards a week or two into their ordeal. By this time, the muggle children have either been outright told some things or they have pieced together a number of things: such as why they are being experimented on, they deduced what "muggle" means, there is something called "Ministry on Magic," etc..

One day while bored out of their minds in their cell a few of the kids bring up a slumber party trick they once heard of. Bring it up because their captor had recently made a comment about levitation. They decide to play the game to try to cheer themselves up and get their minds off of where they are. What happens is basically the same as what occurs in a scene about the same trick in the movie, The Craft (including: jokes about spraining figures, chanting "light as feather, stiff as a board," letting go of the volunteer in shock, "How do I get down?" being asked, and a load sound from far away causing the person to fall back to the ground. Thus the kids discover they actually have developed magical abilities.

Cue them beginning to actively try to see what magic they can do to hopes of using it to escape. What they can do is insanely limited, finicky, and all around not reliable (due to not having wands, not having use of worded spells, and having no idea how magic works. However in their favor is that they are highly motivated and have nothing else to do but practice when they aren't being experimented and tested on. The dream fast forwards through a few random "learning montage" funny scenes: random dude being able to fix a broken plate with magic because he pointed at it yelling "Fix this!" while arguing with the kid who broke the plate, another kid managing to cause a tiny explosion/spark while saying "bada bing bada boom," etc. While this is going on, the kids are also working to figure out where the exit is/most likely is in the large house they are being held captive in by paying attention to details when being taken to the room they are experimented on  to their jail room. The dream fast forwards and the kids have decided it is now or never as the wizard holding them captive has discovered they have developed magical powers after one of them caused something to explode while they were being experimented on (though the wizard thinks that is the first time it has manifested). So late at night / early in the morning they break out of their cell and begin first by trying to sneak out of the house unaware. However the pictures on the walls quickly notice them and sound the alarm causing them to run for it. The wizard comes running out firing off spells at them. As they run they attempt to slow him down using whatever they can mange (mostly levitating/throwing things and random things exploding). By the time they have made it to the front door almost everyone has been stunned or knocked out. The last two standing kids manage to magically unlock the front door but one of them sacrifices his chance at escape so the other can run out the door to get help.

The last kid runs out of the house to discover a somewhat busy residential otherwise muggle street. In a panic to draw attention he points to the nearest parked car and cries out "bada bing bada boom." The car explodes and seconds/minutes later witches and wizards from the Ministry of Magic begin swarming the area.

Unaware of what is going on it is assumed the wizard had kidnapped a dozen young witches and wizards. The kid who exploded the car is treated almost like a criminal due to being underage but old enough to know better than to use magic around muggles. However as none of the children have Trace Charms on them and their names do not match any witches or wizards (missing or otherwise) their status comes into question. When the kids begin telling their story and the officials begin reading the wizard who kidnapped them's notes they discover they are (or were) muggles.

Chaos ensues. Some folk at the Ministry think the children should be sent to St Mungo's Hospital to try to reverse their magical abilities and then have their memories erased, others think they should be experimented on more to figure out how muggles could develop magical abilities, others just want them locked away somewhere never to see heard from again, and some think they should be seen as young witches and wizards with all the rights that entails and thus given an education in using magic.

While all this is going on reports start coming in that kidnappings of muggle children has started to occur around the world as the wizard who kidnapped the children reveals he was able to send his last findings of his work to various interested witches and wizards around the globe.

The dream ends there more or less with no conclusion to what happens to the kids or whatnot. It was an epic weird dream. My general nerdiness was pleased.

OK, I fell asleep again and I had a second dream ,this one was a lot more crazy. So in this dream, I wasn’t myself I was just I think female? But we were in this Pangea-like post apocalyptic wasteland of an earth. For whatever reason there was like four groups that corresponds with primary colors. I was it was part of the red clan and they were like at the top of the Pangaea continent and I was like really reckless, very reckless character for whatever reason. somehow I get launched all the way down to blue to the blue clan(I think by cannon made of scrap metal)which is which stretches over all of the bottom of the Pangaea constant. very bad situation but like that not immediately because like no one‘s raise the alarm bells, so we, who just got here, we just sort of was around asking people. like like I was her around asking like kids to explain everything to me so much I found it —right! I forgot to mention because supposed apocalyptic world if I didn’t know it was supposed apocalyptic. Because everyone was using like swords and spears and stuff, so I assumed it was like some weird prehistoric medieval type of deal, but in actuality it was post apocalyptic because these kids were watching shows and there was still like phones and stuff and I was like quotation mark you guys have phones!?! And they were like yeah? And I was like then why the swords? And they were like, “because it works better against the _____?” I don’t remember what they said but it was some kind of creature, when I try to remember what it looks like the blue eyes white dragon comes to mind. But it didn’t matter; I had to get out there. so I had a bike which was a red color and also scrap metal like, and like I’m going down the road straight down there and then people are like oh hey red we don’t like red so boom I’m wanted, there’s a scene cut to the blue police hq to catch me. Peter on, there’s is these two girls One of them is tomboyish and shorter than me, the other is more nicer girl and taller than me. but like they try and stop me by making a weird amazing small maze in the middle of the road, and I manage to get through it because there was no traps because they were waiting for me in the middle and I sorta when past them. All things go on, I think I lose my clothes at one point so I stop at like some restrooms or something to get some clothes because even though I’m wanted already I don’t wanna be jailed for indecency. and then I find out that I did have my clothes on but there’s this guy who was waiting for me to see my face and when I leave he goes off in his golf cart to report me, talking into his wallow talkie. my motorcycle got totaled earlier so I grabbed Four wheeler. I dodge a lot of police and i’m almost to the end when there’s like a second labyrinth thing which I know was made by those two girls and then like “oh crap I’m going too fast” like so I crashed into it and I go pas them and I’m like “so sorry, I was going to do it I’m sorry” and then like “you were going fast we understand lol” and I say “do you want to come with?” And we’re like why not. So now we’re out of the blue area I want to green and green obviously is OK so. The show all there is for clans. Read this at the top then the next is yellow, then green, and at the bottom is blue. It’s a very hilly landscape and we’re just going really fast on these roads and then like we’re going to fast and we skip over the hill and then we see like the hill is hundreds of miles above the land below us when I find out there’s like some sort of tracer power—oh that’s right! I forgot that earlier there was like a police chase and I’m stuck in this house or something and like I find out the person I am like in the dream I have had like weird powers or something and I knock out the two police guys that cornered me. Back to the hill; so when we go over the hill, we sorta just tracer overwatch rewind back? And then that’s where the dream ends I believe. I wish I could describe what it was like more it looked so cool.
