Ok I present to you: How to identify a Cat/4 from a Swift Child/Neo 3

Swift Child Under the Cohawklition:

Taller and leaner

Usually styles their tentacles back to match High Tide Under The Cohawklition, but in a rush they hang down beside their head.

Red eyes that glow slightly. They just do that. We don't ask how.

Speaks in a more Splatlandian dialect, but tries to talk more like those from Inkopolis when interacting with the New New Squidbeak Splatoon. All in all pretty quiet, though.

Prefers the Brella most of all, would play Bloblobber more if it actually was feasible.

Acts more mature but is agressive in fighting, even just for fun

Horrible at decorating.

Cat/4

Short and stout

VERY loud they are very loud and annoying.

Starts with very long tentacles in the back, but cuts them off after joining the New Squidbeak Splatoon. Post canon they keep them pretty short but not completely gone

Green eyes always, and they have. Not poor vision in it but they keep their right eye closed a lot so they wear an eyepatch so it irritates them less and it looks cool. Their aim is garbage either way

Definitely speaks in the Inkopolis dialect. I do think they try and learn Octarian later when they're in college.

Roller main all the way!!! It is really heavy but they hate how the lightweight ones feel. They're fine with a blaster but long range combat is too tricky for them.

They act sort of childish and eager, but are shockingly strategic and good at picking out where danger will be.

your severitus post didn't mention whether or not you're open to recs, so feel very welcome to ignore and delete if the answer is no! if yes, may I suggest seven drops and asphodel blooms by gwendolynstacy? a lot of the points you mentioned (ron and hermione not being valued, the dumbledore bashing, harry being babied) are things that I clearly remember not being the case in that one. plus there's no romance whatsoever, which is always a plus for me!
