~ Lucas... I liked his salvation-end a lot omg 😍 🖤 / (Side Ends + Extended Despair & Salvation Ends CGs n screenshots)
damn 😍 🖤 loved this FD Ending! They got punished in hell for a long time and went thru lot of pain, physical and mental, but were forgiven & reborn at the end. The genetic errors of the people had already been solved and the "curse" cured by the time they were reborn and they were a pair again with Nadja being alive and well too~
First post or first fan art (more like a doodle since I drew this out of boredom) here in this app..
Here's a fan art of Lucas ❤ I'm gonna be honest, I don't even have the game but follow other people's playthroughs. I knew this beautiful guy because of the seiyuu/voice actor of Lucas (CV: Hirakawa Daisuke) since I'm a fond of the otome characters he had voiced and other characters outside of otome genre. (Ahem ahem.. Enmu from Demon Slayer, ahem ahem..)
I just happened to stumble upon this game's existence, and I admire the artwork so much that it inspired me to draw more again (no kidding) 😭 I thank the illustrator, Yomi sensei, for drawing guys so beautiful, it sparked my creativity once again lol
Yesterday I completed Ankou's route and today I read his coda and the last few short stories. I went through most of the content, with my favourites being Yves' coda, the Drifter's story, and all the fun short stories. I enjoyed the extra Ankou content in his designated route but it just didn't hit like the original Le Salut.
While in the original I played every route's Despair and Salvation endings, for the fansic I realized there was stuff I just wasn't interested in. I liked the original Le Salut so much I didn't want to see the side end encore version of Adolphe's route. And I realized partway through playing Scien's side end that I just wasn't into it and thought "I don't need to spend time on this if I don't want to." Scien is fun sometimes, I enjoyed his short stories and codas, but he's just not an LI I feel drawn to in terms of his relationship with Ceres. I didn't really feel a desire to explore other iterations of it any further. I feel kind of like the odd one out in the fandom in this regard as I get the sense from the amount of posts and fanfiction I see about him that he's one of the more popular characters in the fandom (and his route was the first one that got a stage play adaptation), but he's one of my least favourite LIs.
I think in the end I played more content than I thought I might want to when I first started the fandsic back in April. I initially knew I was interested in the coda continuations, the short stories, and the Drifter's story, but I ended up being curious about the Side End Encore routes as well, partly because I needed to see all the Yves content and partly just to see what could be better or worse.
Overall, I don't think anything in the fandisc is quite as well-written as the original game, but I still enjoyed it for the most part! I enjoyed crying over Yves again.
Spoiler discussion below!
I've already discussed my thoughts on the other routes in previous posts, so I'll focus on the rest of Ankou's route and his coda.
Overall, I enjoyed seeing this version of the story where Ceres ends up with him. It doesn't quite hit as emotionally or in as satisfying a way as the original Le Salut for me (I guess I liked the tragedy of Ankou giving Ceres the flowers and then passing away after succeeding in his goal?), but since I really like Ankou I enjoyed getting more time with him. Some of the changes to the story, like the weird grey mutants, just didn't feel as well thought-out as things that happen in the original story, but I felt the happy ending (which I got on my first playthrough for once!!!) with
Adolphe, Ceres, and Ankou coming home to Salome together, happy, was nice. The bad ending where Ceres loses Ankou and becomes like him is interesting, and Ceres looks kind of cool in her silver-haired form, but I'm glad that's not the good ending.
I'm not overly drawn to pregnancy/parenthood endings, but I thought Ankou's coda was nice. The baby holding onto his finger was sweet, and I like the parallel with him making the pinky promise with Ceres, which was one of my favourite CGs in his route.
I have kind of mixed feelings on the subject of Spinel. It took me a little while to warm up to her. I thought the twist of her being Adolphe's sister interesting, and it was kind of nice, I didn't really feel like we needed yet another character. I guess her role is to make it possible for Ankou to live on instead of sacrificing himself, but I felt like this route did introduce a bunch of stuff that isn't in the original and I didn't always like it. Spinel's OK, but isn't my favourite either.
I've been in the world of Virche since February when I started the original game, and as soon as I finished it April I went straight to the fandisc, so it feels a little weird to now be done with it (until my Blu-ray of Case. Yves arrives in December I guess, haha), but I enjoyed it. I think the original game is one of my favourite otome games now, even if in the beginning I really wasn't sure if I was going to like it as much as I ended up doing. Yves is still my favourite, then Ankou and Adolphe.
I finished Yves' Side End Encore route yesterday. At first I didn't think I really wanted to play any of these alternate versions of the original routes and was only interested in the short stories and continuations. However, the desire to unlock every Yves CG won out, so I ended up playing it. Spoiler discussion under the cut.
I wasn't expecting it to be worse than the original in quite the way it was. Why did they have to pit Yves and Ceres through that?!?!? I don't like Scien. That said, I found the science in this version harder to give the fantasy benefit of the doubt, and I just generally didn't think it was as well-written as the original route. Though that's not super surprising. But I wish they had put more effort and time into the continuation of the original Slavation ending instead of this. There were some scenes I liked, especially when it came to Adolphe and Ankou, but overall it just doesn't quite come together as well as the original.
I also just couldn't believe the "good" vs "bad" ending decisions here. I played the bad ending first without realizing it. I could tell from the credits video and music that the ending I got was presented as the bad ending. But I actually liked it and found it very moving. I ended up crying! Just like when I played Yves' original route! While I found it difficult to accept that Yves' life would have to be sacrificed for his genes to be used to save the people of the island, I liked the way the subsequent events spoke to grief in a way that I could relate to. Yves got his wish, that Ceres would carry his memory. I liked that he was known as a hero. This ending worked with Yves' willingness to help others, though I liked how in his original route he learns to accept that he has his own wants, that he doesn't always have to give himself to others. But overall, I liked the bittersweet quality of this ending and it worked for me. Yves and Ceres reuniting in the afterlife was a nice ending, and she no longer has to worry about forgetting him. I really liked it. It was my kind of sad and so I didn't regret playing this route when I finished this ending. But I was surprised when I got the "bad ending" credits.
Now, I had accidentally spoiled a bit of the other ending for myself by coming across the CG of Reliver Yves online, a concept I genuinely dislike very much. Because of that, I didn't have high hopes for the other ending. It wasn't quite what I was expecting, but I still have trouble accepting that the writers wanted this to be thought of as a better ending. On the one hand, I get it. The clones of Yves and Ceres are going to try to have a life of their own, which I guess is in keeping with the theme of Yves' original route. But the original Yves and Ceres are still both presumably dead in this and can't be together or feel the love they had for each other. There's some hope that Scien's unethical science won't cause as much harm and despair as planned, but it's not much comfort if you ask me. We don't even get to see the world being saved coming to fruition for the rest of the characters. And you just know Ankou isn't happy with this outcome, it's not what he wanted for Ceres at all. And that makes a difference to me too.
~ here's some Mathis (Side Ends + Extended Despair & Salvation Ends CGs n screenshot)
I enjoyed this, there was A LOT of crazy Ki/ller-Mathis, it was rly entertaining for me ♡♡🩸 His extended Salvation End was cute, but I liked the tragic ends. I also think he looks hot with the eye-bandages. (from the end where he injured his own eyes on purpose, becoming blind when he was a ki/ller so to stop himself from the constant ki/lling of women. He was bein kept in a jail but left to live and Ceres constantly visited him. It's prolly one of my fav Mathis ends.)
