Once my sister and I did a movie marathon where we watched as many versions of Robin Hood as we could cram into one weekend. Douglas Fairbanks, Errol Flynn, Kevin Costner. We even watched Robin and Marian, which is about Sean Connery and Audrey Hepburn being old and dying. And of course, the very best adaptation we watched was animated and featured a dashing fox as Robin Hood.
Not one of these was super "historically accurate" or "faithful to the source material." Each took familiar beats from a familiar story and used them to weave a tale that suited their own purposes.
🎞️ STAR WARS ALTERNATE ARC — THE LEGEND THEY NEVER DARED WRITE
A Blacksite Literature™ Transmission
(For the writers who still believe in stakes.)
—
Let’s talk about the biggest missed opportunity in modern myth.
Rey should’ve fallen.
Not like “tempted by the dark side” fallen.
I mean fallen. Fully. Beautifully. Horrifically.
Turned. Twisted. Crowned by the same shadow her grandfather cast.
A Sith Empress. No apology. No redemption arc.
That’s the story.
Not because it’s “edgy.” But because it’s true.
To lineage. To myth. To what Star Wars used to be.
—
Let’s break it down.
Palpatine has a granddaughter.
She’s strong in the Force. Gifted. Alone. Untrained. Unmoored.
She finds out she’s the heir of the darkest force in galactic history…
…and what happens?
A hug.
A lightsaber handoff.
A motivational speech about choice.
Come on.
That moment should’ve cracked the galaxy in half.
It should’ve haunted her. Corrupted her. Reshaped her.
Not into a “dark Rey” dream sequence — but a new villain.
Not Kylo-lite. Not edgy-but-saved.
A true villain.
—
Because here’s the thing:
Evil shouldn’t only be for the angsty boys.
Tragedy shouldn’t only belong to male leads.
Falling isn’t about gender — it’s about power, and what it costs.
Rey could’ve been a Shakespearean collapse.
She could’ve become the threat.
She could’ve made Finn rise.
Instead, she became an aesthetic.
—
Now imagine this instead:
Years later, Jedi temples lie in ruin.
Rumors swirl of a woman in black who bends the Force with ease.
She’s not Supreme Leader. Not Empress. Just Rey.
No title. Just fear.
And Finn?
He’s the only one who knew her before the fall.
He trains in secret. He builds from nothing.
Not to rule — but to stop her.
Because she loved him once.
And he still does.
But the galaxy doesn’t have time for old feelings.
Only fire.
—
That’s your trilogy.
Not a nostalgia remix.
Not a corporate checklist.
A myth. A wound. A story that means something.
Because tragedy, when done right, lives forever.
—
This isn’t about “dark for the sake of dark.”
It’s about truth.
The truth that some bloodlines curse you.
That some love stories end in war.
That sometimes the only way to honor the past is to burn it down.
Rey could’ve redefined villainy.
Finn could’ve redefined heroism.
Instead…
We got cosplay and catchphrases.
—
This is your open call, Disney.
You want the next trilogy to matter?
Let it hurt. Let it surprise. Let it scar.
The fans are grown now.
We’re not scared of darkness — we crave stories that make us feel.
So go ahead. Call if you’re serious.
But the second you say “girlboss,” the line goes dead.

In the quiet pulse of eternity, Ren’s legacy unfolds—a tapestry where ancient wisdom and modern resolve intertwine to restore the sacred harmony of worlds.
In Mizukawa, where ancient legends and digital dreams intertwine, the sacred art of communication is under siege. In the fragile tension between tradition…
So this morning I had a Dr Who dream, but it didn't start out that way...
I dreamt that I worked in this little one-street town with a weird cafe restaurant that only operated during strange hours. I was on the 5pm-3am shift as a server, and while I wasn't new on the job (I've actually dreamed of this restaurant before; I keep having server dreams), it was still a bit awkward because of the unusual customer requests, as well as the manager expectations. Anyway, this cafe was unique because time ran slower here than outside, so we'd get in all kinds of folks, human and non, who would actually operate at different rates of time. Some were slower, some zipped around, etc. As a server I was stuck with serving the slow folks, so basically my job sucks.
Anyway, it was finally closing time. It was blizzarding that night, and there were no buses at that hour. So we all looked eagerly to our fellow coworker, the only person there with a car, who admitted that she had parked in the underground pocket dimension under the main parking lot in anticipation of the blizzard, but... had forgotten that the levels in said underworld dimension had a bad habit of shifting every hour or so, so she had NO idea where her car was now.
No one wanted to walk home in the freezing cold, so I was like, it'll take fifteen whole minutes to find her car, since I knew my way around the underworld pocket dimension. So off we went, a small group of four in total, down the stairs under the cafe to access the underworld parking.
Once in, I had to negotiate with various types of floormasters and devils and 80's punk goblin gangs to gain access to the limited doorways, trapdoors, holes and passages to the lower levels. The whole dimension down here was like a carnival funhouse, all painted floors and walls with glitter-glued doors built at funny angles, disguised doorways, and strange access ports hidden under rugs and behind toilets and stuff.
But while we continued our descent in search of my coworker's car, we began to discover that there was actually a small war developing between the various masters of the levels. It started off small, beginning with trade embargoes between individuals, small rebellions, and visible schisms between allied gangs and levels... and the deeper we went, the nastier the level masters got with us, demanding all kinds of tribute and proof before letting us pass. As overworlders we tended to command a little more respect, but not all the underworld demons were into that, so... XD;
Anyway, we ended up finally having to fight one of the level lords. It was a Legend of Zelda-style battle with a lot of running around dealing out multiple small strikes with crowbars and environmental ordnance, but once that was done, we were left with some treasure in the form of the legendary Sword of Two Infinite Blades.
The Sword of Two Infinite Blades was a magic weapon (obvs.) with mild personality issues. While being extremely powerful, it preferred taking on the shape of a metal wrench instead of a sword, and in its full form it looked like a rusty shortsword with two fork-pronged blades emerging from the main blade, like a kind of dowsing stick, but in blade format. I was like, you useless sword, you'd better be useful in combat or I swear I'm throwing you away. XD;
And while we were nowhere near my coworker's car, we suddenly had to escape because tensions were rising, and our presence was causing a big commotion with the underworlders. So we quickly shambled back up to the surface, emerging from the parking lot only to find that the war had beaten us getting there! The 80's punk goblin biker gangs were harassing pedestrians (human) and getting mixed up with the local comic-con cosplayers, so it was havoc. (Also, time had passed; it was early summer now.)
From what we had learned down below, we knew who the main culprit was of this particular war, so we dashed off across the lot to find a new vehicle. Instead we found a bunch of college students who, being Dr Who fans, had found a small helicopter and had painted and outfitted the interior to look like a TARDIS. I popped in expecting a chopper, only to discover that the inside was bigger than the outside, and that the chopper actually WAS a TARDIS.
So I was like, holy shit guys, this thing actually IS a TARDIS. They were like, nah, no way! And I was like hell yes, so I just asked the TARDIS to spirit us away to the Sky Kingdom, and bam, we were there. XD The college students were like, dude, we didn't even KNOW it had that button.
So I left them behind and hopped out into the Sky Kingdom palace, where I jogged out to find the Earth King seated on the Sky Throne. At that point I realized I was actually in a Dr Who episode, so I was like, shit, I'd better pretend I'm the Doctor. So when the Earth King's thugs showed up to surround me, I threatened them with my wrench (which was the Sword of Two Infinite Blades being too lazy to actually LOOK like a sword), and when they didn't back off, the Sword basically leapt into action and sworded them all before reverting back into a wrench.
Afterwards, I turned to the Earth King and asked him why he wanted to take over the Sky Realm. He said he wanted to expand his influence, etc. I warned him that the Sky Kingdom was going to be more than he'd bargained for, and that he could cede it back to the Sky Kingdom's rightful heir (the original ruler had already been deposed and killed) and return to the Earth Realm without further damages. I figured that was a Doctor thing to say. XD
The Earth King declined. And just as I was about to face off with him in battle, with my trusty Sword of Two Infinite Blades... I woke up. D:
Anyway, if I were to continue the story... I'm not sure how I would end it, but I know for sure that we would find my coworker's car again, and go home. Because that's how proper adventures end. XD
