MY THOUGHTS:
I have no illusions that the average person on tumblr ever actually opens a newspaper. You know...those things that USED to bring us the news before one click apps, Google searches, Wikipedia, and worst of all,...Facebook?
Anyway...
Chances are, your local newspaper probably has some sort of “Ask Amy” column where readers reach out for advice without ever having to actually I don’ know, SPEAK to another person face to face.
Well THIS response is the greatest E-V-E-R.
This chick wouldn’t invite her sister out with her and her bible thumping, upper middle class, soccer mom with the annoying ass family stickers on their back windshield having, entitled ass housewives because her sister “wasn’t a church goer, didn’t have as much money as her and her friends, and was a single mom.”
What’s worst of all...this chick wanted Amy to feel sorry for HER because she never invited her sister out with her friends and her sister was upset about it.
We ALL have people we’d rather not invite out on social events.
I didn’t invite my wive’s grandmother to my 30th birthday party because she’s a Southern, old school, holier than now, bible thumping broad who thinks that anyone who drinks, has pre marital sex, or has tattoos is a bad person and needs Jesus, so I didn’t invite her because I wanted to be able to listen to loud rock and roll, drink beer, and curse until my heart’s content with my awesome ass friends in a judgement free environment.
Does that make me a bad person?
NO.
What WOULD make me a bad person is not inviting her, and then acting like she was the enemy and less of a person for getting upset about not being invited.
There IS a difference.
