Ohhh I'm so sleepy today! Bit Bazaar yesterday went great! The setup at Ontario's Celebration Zone space at the Harbourfront looked really neat, and getting to be part of Pan Am & Parapan Am Games festivities even in a small way was so cool! Not to mention tabling with dirchansky and powerswithin~ And to everyone who came out and visited us. Thank you!

Probably the only real downside was the fact that, due to some last minute logistics, we were kind of separate from the main Bit Bazaar area, so it seemed like we didn't get as much traffic as the main area. But that said - I still made enough to cover more than my shopping and any food I had bought for the event :Db and the tables were free, and there was a stipend to assist us with production costs for new comics and zines, which is all super amazing! Kudos to the Bit Bazaar team for all their hard work!

Also, because we were so close to the stage, we got pretty good views of all the shows, from lion dances/kung fu/dragon dances, flamenco performances, a cooking demo (WITH CHEESE) by Kevin Durkee (dirchansky valiantly tried to get samples for us but all we got were cards lol), Brazilian stiltwalkers, surprise sound check by Hannah Georgas, and DJed dances to close off the day, plus all the amusing antics of the little kids who were near the stage, and the zip liners going by overhead.

One of the most incredible and hilarious stories that came out of it was when strengefruits came by and chatted with dirchansky and powerswithin. They already knew each other, so we were introduced. Then while flipping through my comics, strengefruits said, "I used to have a friend named Maiji online ..." I was like "(!!!) That's the only username I've ever used online." 

IT TURNED OUT WE KNEW EACH OTHER FROM MESSAGE BOARDS WHEN WE WERE IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BUT IN TOTALLY DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE COUNTRY LMAO strengefruits was like "WTF I'VE KNOWN YOU LONGER THAN I'VE KNOWN DIRCHANSKY" hahahahaha

The universe is an amazing place!!

My haul from the day! Postcards and button from axoninteractive​‘s story-driven puzzle Quench (quenchgame), dirchansky’s Fake Game Zine and Lava, powerswithin’s The Best Gift and Beaver Guild, and mkage​ stopped by with a poster of Yusuke from the drawing she did for my Demon King! Urameshi fanbook~!! So much awesome stuff ;p;

Also congratulations to likelikelump for their debut at the Pan Am Games! lol
