Ahead of our flight to Zurich last weekend, I noticed a man in a pretty impressive wheelchair in the Air Canada lounge. On arrival at our destination, our daughter (who had taken the train to meet us there) told us about the Canadian Para bobsledder she had met on the train from Zurich. Lonnie Bissonnette, the only Canadian Para bobsledder competing at the 2023 @ibsfsliding World Championships, is a 2x World Champion, and has been working hard to get Para sledding into the @paralympics Self-funded, Lonnie is here in St Moritz 🇨🇭 by himself. Our ski vacation just happens to overlap with the @ibsfsliding 2023 World Championships 🇨🇭 The Bobsled track in St Moritz is the only handmade one in the world, costing the city nearly 1M Swiss Francs a year to build.
