THERE  HAS  BEEN  A  LOT  OF  RUINATION,   this  is  their  world  &  war  is  always  the  answer  they’ve  never  wanted.    there  is  still  a  difference  between  a  casualty  of  this  war  &  a  destructive  individual.    caitlyn  always  believes  in  the  former  until  she  absolutely  can  not.     “   --   there  are  a  lot  of  things  still  upright  around  you.   it’s  not  all  ruins  from  where  i’m  standing.   ”     it’s  that  sheriff  intonation,  a  leader.    caitlyn  holds  out  her  gloved  hand.

            ‘ i checked this out last night and the tape was some weird kid’s movie. can i get my money back? ‘ she was a little curious which poor soul had brought home an animated movie and ended up with a summer camp slasher instead-- the kind that she and her dad liked to watch on her nights off-- but that was besides the point.

             ‘ i don’t have the receipt, but maybe my name’s on file. ‘

If Caitlyn looks tired,   it’s because she is.    The newly appointed Sheriff has received more scars in the past couple of years then she has in her lifetime  --  and each one is mostly indirectly a gift from Jinx.    Caitlyn Kiramman just doesn’t have it within her to be hateful.   She’ll never have a taste for revenge,  only justice,  truth,  and the drive to make things   BETTER   .    It’s just that those who seek revenge make it difficult for everyone else.

“   How was it supposed to end?   ”     Caitlyn just replies back,  and it echoes off the nearest buildings.   She doesn’t get too close to Jinx,   it’s where she’s weak.   Blue eyes are still on the younger woman,  both her hands on her rifle,  but her finger is off the trigger.   She wasn’t meant to kill   --   she knows she’ll never heal if she does.   It’ll be the biggest scar Jinx has given her yet.   Instead,  Caitlyn just answers from her hiding spot.   As if Jinx is the only person in the world who has infinite second chances.

A  frown  tugged  on  Toni’s  face  when  she  said  that.  “You  aren’t  going  crazy.”  Toni  said  quickly,  reaching  out  to  touch  the  other’s  hand.  “Wanna  talk  about  it  or  no?”  She  offered  softly,  giving  her  an  uneasy  smile,  Toni  was  trained  for  this,  she  should  be  able  to  help,  but  even  then  there  was  only  so  much  Toni  could  do  when  it  came  down  to  it.
