I'M BACK ON MY FROST BULLSHIT, BABYYYY
At first I was like, "Haha, Frost really doesn't want to be friends with Hurley." And then I realized what he was actually upset about. Gricko is his best friend--his first friend (at least after being sent to the Order)---and suddenly he's yelling about being best friends with this random bugbear he (Frost) just met. Frost is worried about being replaced. Even though Gricko was saying that all three of them would be best friends, Gricko is his best friend. No one else's.
I love this a lot because it's pretty subtle up until Frost tells Torbek that they'll kill Hurley soon. Frost's hesitance is interpreted as him simply not caring about some rando he just met. And that checks out because Frost is more withdrawn and doesn't go around making friends with everyone (like Gricko).
But we know he's super insecure about his place in the group and has mentioned a fear of being replaced in the past. Not to mention the ultimate fear of being alone. Now his best and closest friend is talking to this guy that he knew over a decade ago like no time passed at all. Frost is thinking Hurley will replace him as Gricko's best friend. And where will that leave him? What's his purpose in the group if not to be Gricko's best friend? He has mutual respect for the other members and he could consider them friends, but we know he knew Gricko before the others and is most comfortable with him. He probably knows the fear is irrational, but he can't help that (get this man a diagnosis...)
You could put an autistic spin on this as well. This reads as a Favorite Person type situation. A favorite person is basically just when a person with autism forms a strong attachment to another and feels more safe and comfortable with them around. This is not the case for all autistic people, but this situation definitely reminded me of it. Frost feels as though he may lose his favorite person and it's causing him distress.
I think this fear is one of my favorite aspects of Frost. He's not supposed to have any earthly attachments, he's not supposed to care, but he does so so much. He's confident and assured in his intelligence and powers, but insecure in his personal relationships. And Derek plays this very well. I love it.

Ukyo emerges from the tent she was treating Ryoga in. The (probably very stressed and beleaguered) animators goofed and painted her leggings in skin color instead of black. Makes it look like she was taking care of Ryoga a much different way. 💜💛
