Coming to Steam, GOG, and itch on 11/22https://store.steampowered.com/app/1609230/Scarlet_Hollow/
Scarlet Hollow Episode 4 will be releasing on November 22nd! It’s shaping up to be reeeally good, if I do say so myself. It’s nice and chunky, with a ton of new art and intrigue. I feel like the consequences of your actions are finally manifesting in a meaningful way, and the mystery at the core of the game is only getting thicker....
Wishlist on Steam if you haven’t already, or go ahead and buy the game and play the first three episodes right now! The fourth will be released as a free update, so you don’t have to so much as click a button to continue from the end of your episode 3 save :3
If you haven’t heard, Dispatch is a narrative-driven episodic adventure where players step into the shoes of Robert Robertson III, formerly known as the armored hero Mecha Man. After his suit is destroyed and his powers fade, Robert faces an early forced retirement.
His new job? Not fighting crime… but dispatching a team of dysfunctional former villains-turned-heroes across a chaotic city.
This game takes the superhero genre, flips it on its head, and serves it with workplace comedy, tense moral choices, and strategy-heavy gameplay—making it one of the most unique releases of the year.
Dispatch consists of eight episodes, originally dropping two episodes per week across PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam) through October and November 2025. The staggered release model kept fans theorizing and returning weekly—almost like a serialized TV drama, but interactive.
The result?
The game quickly gained traction and sold over one million copies.
Key Features of Dispatch
Role-Playing Meets Management
You’re not the hero anymore—you manage them. As Robert Robertson III, you coordinate a team of ex-villains struggling to adapt to hero life, each with their own chaotic personality and skill set.
Strategy-Based Dispatching
A detailed city map lets you assign heroes to crises based on their strengths. Match the right hero to the right mission—or deal with catastrophic consequences.
Narrative Choices Matter
Dialogue decisions during cutscenes and dispatch moments shape:
relationships
character morale
long-term story outcomes
the overall fate of the city
Your leadership directly impacts who grows, who fails, and who gets hurt.
Workplace Comedy Energy
Romance, rivalries, dramatic tantrums, and awkward team-building moments—this hero agency is a mess in the best way possible.
High Stakes, Real Consequences
Poor mission planning can injure heroes or derail arcs, while successful dispatches level up team members and unlock new abilities.
Where to Play:
PlayStation 5 (PS5)
PC – Steam
What Makes This Game So Addictive?
Dispatch blends storytelling, strategy, and humor in a way the genre rarely touches.
Players stay hooked because:
Every episode ends with cliffhangers
Missions feel meaningful rather than repetitive
Characters grow (or spiral) based on your choices
The hybrid of sitcom energy + superhero lore is refreshing
The episodic drop schedule created a “weekly event” feeling
What Gamers Are Saying

“It’s XCOM meets The Office.”
“Robert is the most relatable ex-hero ever.”
“The episodic rollout gave me something to look forward to every week.”

I think it would be cool if Id's games were sll episodic (as like a throwback to Shareware without just doing Shareware again), but also I know that if they did then they'd probably make you pay for all the episodes and not just the base game.
