The Bigger Picture
Throughout the last century, the silver screen has undoubtedly undergone immense change, evolving nearly beyond recognition. In the 20's for instance, very mellow dramatic film renditions were the tradition.
This era was riddled with classically dramatized films, that were developed to subtly represent the social natures of the era. Skip to the current day on the other end of the spectrum, and what we get are highly exaggerated renditions, that are often digitized to add realism. Which is rather ironic!
The problem arises when it comes to choosing a good new movie fresh out of post-production. The thing about this is that in today’s society, it has become a tradition for the silver screen producers, directors and editors the like to design film trailers that falsely represent the films in question. So over the years society has seemingly socially accepted this form of deception, and in turn evolving the process by which we select the best movies to watch out there, into a true guessing game!
But why and how has this happened? And better yet, will it ever end? But, considering the media hypes, and exacerbates social demands and expectations of the films as a bi product of marketing, they may equally be responsible in the blame game! These Media big shots need to realize that we, the people their consumers do not appreciate being deceived! No matter which colleague I’m in a discussion with, if it’s regarding this perversion of justice, the result is always the same and I discover that I share something in common with every member of the team!
Alas, today this form of deception that manifested as the cultural bi product of the silver screen movies exists in virtually any market of anything that requires social awareness to be purchased. In business for example, unlike the ones that do deliver exceptional quality products, most retail Epos providers often fluff up their products abilities with fabricated story lines in order to attract a soon to be disappointed customer. Less of a bee to a flower, and more like a fly to a Venus trap!
Choosing films to watch among other things was once upon a time like jumping into a pool of assorted luxury chocolates, the result was you just couldn't choose! Today it’s more like falling in a pool of mud, (or dare I say the other stuff) in the jungle while attempting to find a branch to pool yourself out!
