" You... You're alive. It's been months, I- how are you? How..."

" Looking for you, dear." Of course, she'd ended up getting caught in the process, but- she'd found who she had broken in looking for, so the healer considered herself successful in at least that regard.

" I'd recognize that voice anywhere- Ikki... What have they done to you?"

"But I do want to find out......" Ikki chuckled. "I want to see what the great esteemed chief can do when everything she loves is taken away from her!" Her hand moved behind her tapping the hilt of the knife. "What would you do if I killed him?"

"Kill you. Plain and simple." Except that it wasnt; Ikki was still Tenzin's daughter, and her niece, no matter how far-removed she was from who she used to be. Lin couldn't just kill her.

But she also couldn't lose Sai. She couldn't. It would be the end of her, or of any warmth that might be left in her.

"But you won't kill him. You won't even touch him." Lin slipped into a defensive stance. "I'll be sure of that." One way or another.

"am I still wanted? Oh dear me." She jumped down from her hiding spot staring at Lin. "Guess I forgot about that little bit. How's the husband doing by the way? It would be a shame if something were to" she paused for a bit to build up tension. "Happen."

"You touch even a hair on his head, and you end up dead in the ground. Understand?"

"Nothing yet. I was waiting to see if you were still alive. Quite shocked considering you're getting up there in age."

"A jab at the old lady’s age. Clever."

"So how’s that being a wanted criminal thing going for you?"
