"Hey General. What have you been up to these days?" *a sultry deep voice cooes from the shadows*
Dressing in plain clothes, fine though they were, was always fun; leaning incognito on a dark and greasy bar in the old Fire Nation quarter of the city, you never knew who you might run in to. He took a long puff of his cigar, smoke billowing from his mouth and nose.
“Maybe I can give you more than a closer look. Someone as pale as myself will ignite under the heat of this sun. Would you be so kind and rub some sun lotion on me?” the younger woman asked as she lay her towel out next to his.
He gave a satisfied grin at the proposition. “My pleasure.” He sat up, stretching out with a pleasant moan after spending so much time sunbathing. As he waited for her to lay out by him, his eyes followed her piercing, drinking her in.
It's a shame to see quality OC blogs struggling to get attention while Canon blogs have no problem with that. I bet being a canon blog also has its difficulties, I'm not going to erase them, but it's the sad truth that we OCs have to work at least a hundred times as hard to get there. People, there's an incredibly good writer on the brink of -killing off- her equally incredible OC. An OC that has been created from scratch, that had both qualities and flaws. An OC, as good, maybe even better than your precious canon bae and has unbelievably good art, but will never be as famous and loved because she was created by a regular person, not someone in a studio who has the crew and the ability to make her famous world wide, but is just as talented. If she's gone, IT'S. YOUR. LOSS. equalistraisha, I'll never live up to your level. Maybe that's the reason why our rps don't work out as I hoped they would. But you're amazing, I love seeing you on my dash and the LoK roleplaying fandom, or rather, what's left of it, will lose one of its most talented members. Like I said, I'd hate to see you leave, but in the end it's your decision and not mine.
I’m very hard to anger, my mean streak in very deeply buried and difficult to bring out but if anyone dares to mess with my loved ones or with my friends I get pretty cruel. Also, witnessing kids getting mistreated, sexual harassment, oppressive sexism, racism and homophobia make me pissed enough to spit nails and will bring out a mean side of me too.
Tiger Millionaire: Describe the backstory for a character you’ve created
Since it’s you asking, my darling, I’ll do my LoK OC- Chiyo.
Chiyo is the daughter of a certain equalist lieutenant andhis deceased wife.
When she was little over a year old, her mother, grandmotherand sister were all killed when the Agni Kai criminal gang set fire to theirhouse due to an altercation with her father who was severely injured butsurvived. Unfortunately her father believed the whole family was dead and wasn’taware that she had lived and, as such, she was picked up by the very peoplethat destroyed her family and adopted into the Agni Kai gang out of a whim fromone of the higher-ups.
Her sister’s body had shielded her and her hiding spot savedher from smoke inhalation but Chiyo was very heavily burned, her survivalimpressed one of the bosses of the gang who took a shine to her and kept her inthe brothel/club/training house where she was raised and trained in a varietyof martial arts. Due to the disfiguring burns she was unfit for the work mostgirls in the club where groomed for but, and despite being a nonbender, shebecame a prodigious warrior and absolutely lethal and rapidly climbed throughgang ranks as a teen until she became her ‘adoptive mother’s’ bodyguard.
Chiyo is unusually tall for a woman, which coupled with herscars makes her stand out even more but she’s generally quiet and unassuming, herindependence has long since been beaten out of her and most of her emotions arelukewarm (well, except when it comes to certain female equalist) and she’s notparticularly stubborn or outspoken.
She happens to be a lesbian and skilled lover regardless ofher scarred appearance and has a very low opinion on monogamy due to place whereshe grew up in; she also developed nasty habits like alcoholism and drug dependencyto cope with her lifetime of physical pain but she tries not to let them hamperher judgement.
The police have a very thick criminal file with her name onit but despite the many suspicions and rumors of her work, Chiyo has only been inprison once in her life. She’s very practical, cool and thorough towards herwork and never really leaves enough evidence or witnesses behind to give heraway but, on the down side, she is very recognizable and disdained, therefore shehas an extremely poor social life made worse by her inability to trust anyone.
Although Chiyo is very good at all her work and very loyalto her gang, she’s not particularly fond of it or the people around her so whenshe finally finds something she truly is attached to (the aforementionedequalist), she’s willing to ditch to gang to try her hand at new life as anomadic bounty-hunter but never fully cuts ties with the Agni Kai and isvaguely aware that one day she’ll end up living in Republic City full timeagain.
At some point in life she is reunited with her father onvery rocky terms and never truly manages to feel comfortable around him and isvery distant towards though she learns to respect him somewhat and when herbaby sister is born she eventually becomes quite protective of the kid, thoughmostly because she can relate to the girl for certain reasons.
“Very funny,” he answered with a roll of his eyes; the honour jokes had not stopped since she figured out who he was, and they were getting old after forty years. “Never heard that one before.” Maybe what he was doing with her was disreputable, but it wouldn’t warrant a footnote in the book of his life.
