equatorial-pygmies replied to your post: probably a stupid question, but if one were to...
You can use the same food coloring for icing and the cake, because either way you have to eat it so it’s safe for baking!
i was thinking that it probably contains a lot of sugar itself? or something... idk
i found one in powder form with all the colors i want but i never used that
and there is also one i know from waaaay back when i was still decorating christmas cookies with my grandmother, those come in like, pen form (similar to the ones that already have icing in them that you can use to write on things, those are just the base colors)
lol i will have to translate the recipe and mail it to my mother asking if she'd do them with me or i'm wasting my time anyway
though there was something in a frosting recipe that i didn't quite understand
according to the dictionary, it's "weinstein", which apparently is another variation of baking powder? i have to ask my grandmother and show her the complete recipe and she'll probably be able to tell from the amount of it if we can substitute it or if it's actually talking about the stronger essence... i knew there was an upside of being the granddaughter of a baker's daughter and help =D
