it's fucking freezing in the north
it is! and you’re further North than I am. I think ‘it’s fucking freezing in the north’ should be on a t-shirt or something. where I live there’s a visitors shop that sells things that say ‘it’s grim up North’ on them which is a very strange way of selling your area to tourists but not... inaccurate

Same though, this time last year, we had like, 20°C over here, it was waay too warm for Christmas and now it's so fucking cold??
it’s actually warm today at 13°C but we’ve been getting into freezing temperatures so this is a pleasant respite even if it is raining

same. vancouver is way colder this year than i remember last year
brr Vancouver, you brave soul. then again, you’re from WI, aren’t you? I’m very pleased that I managed to avoid living through a Wisconsin winter... I did go to Poland in winter once and if that experience taught me anything it’s that I’m too constitutionally delicate for extreme cold :( I definitely do best in humid heat which is what my current area is like in summer - I live beside a river and it’s kind of... marsh/swamp-like. the marsh areas have expanded now which I wasn’t prepared for and I ended up at a place that had been low-lying fields but is now a marsh, at night, with no choice but to cross through it. I was expecting my body to be discovered thousands of years later as Marsh Man... anyway, I just want it to be humid the whole year, who lives in a climate like this who can adopt me?

I think it's because you're so much further north! Global warming breaks up ice caps, which actually makes things colder up there. You'd probably feel comfortable here :)
