I have been doing an ode to summer coloured pencil series of my faves on my various accounts and decided to start the HTTYD gang.
Fight or Flight
Chapter 18
Erets P.O.V.
"I think so," Hiccup confirmed, eyes wide in wonder. "It makes sense, she lost a lot of blood so she must be cold," I saw a glint of red in the corner of my eye and I turned to look. Bryn was walking over to us, slowly, watching Evergreen and all the other dragons nuzzled against her.
I offered my hand when she was close enough and she took it without hesitation, getting as close to me as possible. My stomach flipped. Even though I had known and loved her for years, I would never get used to the feelings she made me feel. I sighed, feeling the warmth of love in my chest as I looked at her.
"Are they... helping her?" Asked Bryn, obviously confused. Hiccup answered before I could.
"Dragons bodies are naturally warm because of their fire. Evergreen’s lost a lot of blood so she isnt as warm as she should be. Timberjacks also usually travel in packs and stay as close to each ither when they’re sleeping to keep warm since they dont have muchc body mass. They’re all wings," said Hiccup, once again, he surprised me with how much he knows about dragons. I looked at Bryn. Her eyes were wide before her brow furrowed. Had she not known that?
"Then... where's Evergreen's pack?" She asked. "Did I take her away from them?" Bryn suddenly looked very broken.
"I'm sure you didn't, Bryn," I said, wrapping my arm around her and pulling her close to kiss her forehead. "We found her by herself, remember? There were no other Timberjacks in sight," Bryn nodded and looked a little happier.
"So, this is the amazing woman I heard about," I looked up to see Astrid, arms crossed with a smirk, looking at Bryn. She extended a hand. "I'm Astrid," she said with a smile. Bryn shook her hand and smiled back, her inner pain still slightly showing on her face.
"Bryn," she replied. I then noticed the rest of the group that was eating at the main hall was there. Snotlout pushed past the twins boldly. Once I saw him I turned my head and whispered a warning in Bryn's ear.
"Beware," I said before pulling back and glancing at the short man striding over, eyes on Bryn, with way too much confidence for such a small man. Bryn glanced at me then Snotlout before straightening up and giving him a cold stare.
"Well, hello," said Snotlout with a smirk and a wink. I had to stop myself from gagging. "Aren't you a beauty. You sure you want to stick with that sorry excuse for a Viking when you could have a shot at this?" He said gesturing at himself. Bryn was quiet for a moment before she seemed ti be holding a laugh back. She snorted suddenly and began to giggle, not able to hold it back any longer. Snotlout recoiled in surprise while Bryn tried to regain her composure. I smiled.
Bryn calmed down and took a deep breath.
"I’m sorry, but I don't see anything that's worth a 'shot,'" she smirked as she made finger quotes. Snotlout looked stunned for a moment before storming off. I felt Bryn step closer to me. And put her hand back in mine. The rest of the group began to laugh. Bryn looked up at me.
“Sorry, you’re stuck with me,” she said proudly. I chuckled and swueezed her hand.
“I wouldn’t have it any other way,” I said, making her blush.
"Bryn?" We both turned to look as Valka stepped out of the crowd, eyes wide.
"Valka?" Bryn exclaimed in disbelief, leaving my side to hug her. Now I was very confused.
"Wait," said Hiccup. "You two know each other?" The two women stepped back and looked at him.
"She helped me free the dragons and find Evergreen so I could escape," she looked back at Valka.
"What are you doing here? What about the dragon sanctuary? And the king?" Bryn questioned. Valka laughed at her list of questions, taking Bryn's hand in hers.
"I think we have a lot to talk about," she chuckled.

Bryn's P.O.V.
After the dragons carried Evergreen carefully to the healing hut and Gothi promised she would be fine, I reluctantly allowed everyone to lead me to the main hall to eat and explain everything that had happened for the past year. I stayed close to Eret and Valka, the only two familiar beings on the island besides Evergreen.
"So wait," I said, processing everything that I had just been told. "He's the alpha now?" I said, gesturing to the adorable Night Fury, Toothless, beside Hiccup who was currently attempting to shove as many fish as possible into his mouth. Hiccup looked at him with the fondness only a dragon rider would have toward his dragon. It made me miss Evergreen. We hadn't been apart for more than a few hours this past year.
"Yup. Isn't that right, bud?" He said, scratching the black dragon under the chin. I smiled at how happy Toothless looked. I then turned to Eret, who was sitting beside me on the bench with his arm around my waist. I loved that he wanted to be so close to me. I wanted to be close to him too.
"And you have a dragon now?" I said, turning to Eret. He smiled and nodded before pointing to the dragon behind him. I honestly didn't see him there. I turned and faced the beetle-looking Rumblehorn named Skullcrusher. He looked at me with intelligent eyes. I reached out and pet his horn.
"Thank you for keeping him safe," I said to him. He purred under my touch. I smiled.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Exclaimed Eret jokingly. "I can take care of myself, you know. And you were the one who managed to get herself stabbed the last time we fought, not me," I whirled on Eret with a smirk.
"That may be true, but who took down the most Vikings in the battle, hmm?" Eret smiled at me and rolled his eyes. "And also," I continued. "I've proven multiple times that I'm the better fighter," I put a finger on his chest accusingly. "And you know it," Eret laughed and touched his forehead to mine. By Odin, I was happy to have him back.
"You guys are so cute," said Tuffnut, leaning his head on his hand. Eret and I both didn't know what to say.
"Ugh, whatever," mumbled Ruffnut, who was sitting beside her twin. Eret glanced at me nervously.
"Ah, ignore them," said Valka, who was sitting on the other side of me. I looked over at her and gave her a small smile. I still couldn't believe she was Hiccups mom. It was crazy.
"Oh, where's Cloudjumper?" I asked, curious as to where the massive dragon was. Valka cleared her throat and pointed with her eyes.
Above me.
I suddenly felt a gust of warm air blown onto the top of my head. I looked up to meet the eyes of the owl-like dragon.
"There you are!" I exclaimed, turning around and reaching my arms up to give him somewhat of a hug. He purred and tilted his head, looking down at me with curious eyes. I saw Eret watching with a soft smile and smiled back.
I pulled away from Cloudjumper with a smile and turned back to the table.
"Once Evergreen's better, could we go for a flight? I have a lot of questions," I asked Valka.
"Of course! What sort of questions?" I told her how Drago wanted me as part of his crew because of my knowledge of dragons, and how I apparently didn't know as much as I thought. Even about my own dragon. Valka listened intently, nodding along with my story. Once I was finished, she smiled.
"Also," I added. "I haven't seen Cloudjumper fly yet and I've always wanted to see a Stormcutter fly. I've only read about them in books," I looked up at Cloudjumper and smiled, earning a purr in return. He's such a cool-looking dragon.
"I would love to go flying with you. I'm sure Cloudjumper would want to fly with one of his biggest fans too," She said, looking up at the dragon lovingly.
I hope Evergreen heals soon. There's so much she needs to see!
"So where are you goin' to stay?" Interrupted Gobber, who was sitting on the other side of Valka. I looked over at the man thoughtfully.
"To be honest," I admitted. "I didn't think that far. I just needed to get Evergreen safe," Eret gave my shoulder a squeeze.
"You can stay with me," he offered. My heart skipped. "If you'd like." I blushed at the look he was giving me. There was so much love, so much adoration in his eyes.
"Sounds good to me," I said, looking up at him with the same look he was giving me. I then thought of Evergreen. I should go check on her.
"Eret, could we go see Evergreen?" I asked. "I need to know how she's doing,"
"Of course," he replied and stood up, bowing and offering a hand with a smirk. I blushed and took it, standing beside him.
"You're such a goofball," I said to him and he laughed.
"Eret!" Called Hiccup from across the table. Eret turned to look at the chief.
"Yeah Chief?"
"Take a while off from working, ok? We have plenty of hands—and talons—to help rebuild. Show Bryn around! I'm sure she wants to see everything!" Eret looked almost shocked.
"Thank you, Hiccup," replied Eret, inclining his head. I smiled at the young chief.
And with that, Eret and I turned and walked out of the main hall hand-in-hand.
So, Eret Son of Eret is totally gay right
Yesterday, i watched how to train your dragon 3 and aside from all the crying i did, i noticed that Gobber had the hots for Eret. I mean, i get it he's hot but the way they portrayed the two of them on screen, they are either dating off screen or have the hots for each other and haven't told each other yet. Just a thought.
Hello everyone!!

Fight or Flight- Chapter 19
"That was nice of him," I said to Eret as we stepped out into the torch-lit night. Eret nodded and looked at me. "He's a great chief," he said, offering his arm instead of his hand. I took it with a smile. We walked through the streets of the village, arms linked, while I leaned my head on Erets shoulder. We didn't talk. Just enjoyed the comfort of each other. We went past houses and dragon dens, past Vikings doing some late-night business and dragons on their way to bed. It gave me some time to think. "So, you've been here all this time?" I asked, lifting my head from his shoulder to look at him. I had been meaning to ask him all night, but I kept getting distracted with everything that was being told or shown to me. I had been wanting to talk to Eret alone all day. He had told me in the Main Hall about what had happened to him the night I left and how his and Hiccups paths crossed, leading him here. It was a great story. Maybe I'll write it down someday. Eret looked at me and gave a soft smile. "Yeah," he hesitated, and I squeezed his arm gently. "I went out every week looking for you, you know," he blurted, looking away and reaching up with his free hand to scratch the back of his neck. I felt warmth spread in my chest and I leaned up to kiss him on the cheek. His skin was warm, despite the crisp night air. "I looked everywhere for you," I relied with a smile. "I went to Drago's fortress, I tried to get Evergreen to find your scent, and we flew across the Archipelago looking for you while trying to get people to rise up against Drago—apparently for no reason because he's been dead for a while now," I rushed. I had been waiting all day to explain myself. I needed him to know that I was away for so long for a reason. "You went to Drago's fortress by yourself?" Exclaimed Eret, forgetting his earlier embarrassment and raising his eyebrows in shock. "What if they saw you?"

Fight or Flight- Chapter 2
My hope of him liking my plan of escape disintegrated.
"We could sail!" I blurted. Desperate for a good idea. "We wouldn't stay in one place, constantly sailing the world— exploring every bit of it. Wouldn't that be amazing?" I asked, a wistful smile in my lips as I looked out at the horizon.
I was broken out of my dreamland by Erets soft laugh. He took a step closer to me and I looked up at him.
"Of course it would," he said, brushing a wild strand of hair from my face, making it heat up.
He just loves to do that to me doesn't he? I thought. Sometimes it was just cruel. "But you know he would still find us,"
"Why would we matter so much to him? Why can't he just leave us alone? He has plenty of brainless henchmen to do his horrible bidding," I spat. Erets hand was still on my cheek, cupping it gently as if it were a fragile piece of China. He looked at me with warm, soft eyes. My tension eased as I looked into them.
