Something took over and made me draw a lot today

The thing is, I already had a httyd sona in the works that ended up taking dust in a corner bcs I wasn't liking the design at all. I thank @r8zzzs ❤️ for inspiring me into finishing it! :D This time designing the clothes of my sona was a lot easier, I really like them :3

This dragon is called Fogata.

At 15 yo Gene probably got lost in the woods while searching for some herbs. The Timberjack found them in the dead of night shaking on the floor next to a badly lit campfire, so it decided to help the pathetic human child by keeping them warm, and then the next day nursing it back to health with lots of fish. It took a while to stop the kid from fainting every time it looked at them but eventually they got along and the child started bringing fish to the dragon instead.

They prefer exploring pretty forests and having fun flights rather than fighting.

Their family isn't from Berk, they like it there but can't help but miss feeling kinda tall like they used to be in their first home.

not very happy with this one, past few days have been hectic so i havent had the time to commit to drawing as i wouldve liked </3 i was hyped to do my beaked timberjack concept but i just dont think i could do it justice in the timespan. ah, well, at least i did it :]

timberjacks have evolved to a point of losing their hind legs as they live most of their lives in the air. when they do land, they do so in water, using their now-flippers to help guide them to their target. they fan out on the ocean like giant lilypads, and an adult timberjacks can hold a small congregation of vikings on their wings as they float.

related to the above, they are much better in water than people expect, folding their eings to their sides and swimming like snakes along the surface of the ocean. they are not thoroughly adapted to their lifestyle. but it's effective enough that even a damaged wing isnt a death sentence for a timberjack.

they live in large family unit, consisting of mostly females, a few smaller males, and any offapeing not yet big enough to forge their own pack. they learn to fly over top of their mother's wings where there's no risk of falling.

their tails are very prehensile and extremely powerful, acting as whips. they will lash their tails at foes in the air with enough force to crack skulls. they avoid breathing fire where they can as they need all the air in their lungs to stay aloft, and will only use it as a last resort.

despite being a nomadic species, they have been seen staying in units above oceanside forests where prey is abundant. a usual hunting session consists of an adult timberjack flying close to the trees and scaring prey out of cover. anything that takes off into the sky is prime meat, including other dragons.

they are the smallest of the known titanofauna and as such have lengthy lifespans where they never truly stop growing. training a timberjack is a lifelong responsibiltu, and many dragon-centric societies mandate that a timberjack's owner elect an "heir" to inherit the dragon after their death. a domestic dragon doesn't fair long in the wild.

Heartwarming moments when the weight of isolation got lifted just enough to make it feel like all was right in the world were a rarity at one point in Lysander's life. But whenever one of those moments did come about, chances were they had his adopted daughter, Aileen, at the very center every time 🩷

Eventually, somewhere in the back of his mind and in the depths of his heart, he couldn't help but start to believe she had been sent his way by his late wife, Fae. The little girl even looked like she could have been their true born child. There was even a scar underneath her left eye— where Fae had a beauty mark too. And the more Aileen grew, the more her features seemed to resemble her.

Real as the grass beneath his feet or just a product of his own imagination after such grief, Lysander could never tell. But honestly.. how could a heartbroken husband not take great comfort in such strange coincidences? 🥹🤧❤️‍🩹

But I, the all-seeing god of their world, can say it is not that coincidental at all 🤍✨

On a different note— Timberjacks make me so soft, they're so huge they can perfectly create a safe little perimeter around their humans like COME OOON 😭🧡🤎✨

I'm still salty about the lack of content for my beloved sharp class giants in the franchise btw so I GUESS I have to make it myself 😤✍🏻 Unbelievable
