I'm going to make this today's #TestItTuesday This is #levamisole HCL. It's legal and and OTC dewormer primarily used for pets and other animals--however it's often used as a cutting agent in #cocaine. It adds bulk and weight and makes the drug appear purer/more potent. It's typically hard to recognize as an adulterant, even with reagent testing. Some test kits claim to be able to detect levamisole in cocaine. I've done hundreds of reagent tests and did some research, and started to notice a correlation between these "cocaine cuts" kits and the #mandelin reagent. The liquid is the same color, the test results are the same color, and when we get "#amphetamine" reactions on mandelin and sometimes marquis, it's very confusing bc it's not common or particularly practical to adulterate a short-acting substance with a longer-acting one (and in some cases, more costly). But after digging through a handful of #ecstasydats lab results, sometimes the reagent tests react green on mandelin and/or orange on marquis (normally associated with meth/amphetamines) when there was a high concentration of Levamisole. So I'm going to run some reagent tests on this Levamisole, vitamin c, ibruprofen, and aspirin. They're all legal substances that the cocaine cuts tests check for in cocaine, and see if there's any results that can indicate that my hunch is right--cocaine cuts test kits are rebranded mandelin, and also don't reliably detect the most concerning adulterant which is Levamisole. Levamisole has been associated in high-profile deaths such as DJ AM (was a personal favorite and inspiration) as well as has been linked to a number of complications including LINES (Levamisole induced necrosis Syndrome). Which is just fancy medical speak for your skin or other membranes or organs rotting. Stay tuned for test results and more info 😎 #dancesafe #testitbeforeyouingestit #justsayknow #coke #whitelady #blow #adulterants #snow #ergamisol #drugchecking
