Lifehacker recently conducted a survey for the best office chairs. As one might expect, the Herman Miller Aeron won followed closely by IKEA's Marcus. Consumers (when not having to allocate budget) want comfort or at least what is perceived as comfort followed by price. Although it could be argued that the Aeron is as much about style and name brand as it is about comfort.
Inc.com recently posted an article on the Best New Office Furniture - among the five pieces is the Darran Rift Table (pictured). I like the elegant look, and that it's a table which could be used for meetings. The price is outrageous, though.
A bit more interesting is the Knoll Toboggan Chair. The design is simple, but encourages multiple positions. The goal seems to be casual collaboration. Priced conveniently and could fit in with many design environments.
