A/N: I recently learned that Eric had a surname?? He’s Eric Coulter?? I legit didn’t know that and I wrote a whole ass chapter story about him??

Eric having a crush on you would involve:

Eric doesn’t develop crushes easily, but seeing you training, seeing your power and strength does something to him that he’s not use to. He can’t help but admire you.

Once the two of you know each other -or are at least aware of each other- he would definitely be the type to tease you.

Nothing really mean but just enough to make you get worked up and threaten him back. And, he just smirks, which makes you want to stab him even more.

(“You’re so annoying, Eric!” “You’re cute when you’re angry.” “I... I can’t believe you!.. Wait, you think I’m cute?” “Shut up.”)

Sparing with him in training, but him actually being terrified to fight you in front of instructors because although he wants to get into Dauntless, he doesn’t want you to fail.

You’re the first person -probably ever- whose seen him cry. One day, something just gets to him and you comfort him.

Although you never talk about it with him, you know it’s that day that brings the two of you closer together. You can still have fun and tease him but part of you knows there’s something more to him now.

Celebrating with him when you both get into Dauntless.

Eric would get jealous and protective.

Really easy.

You’re at a celebration party with the other new members of Dauntless, and another dude flirts with you. You don’t whether it’s the atmosphere or the drink, but you flirt back.

And, Eric gets jealous.

He would protect you from any sketchy guys, and although he doesn’t say anything, it hurts him that you flirted with someone else besides him.

And, you have to confront him about it.

When around other people, Eric is a professional and harsh soldier, even though his amusing wit comes through with you. When the two of you were alone, though, he didn’t have to be as tough as he did to train initiates or fight against an opponent.

Eric is gentler with you, though he still messes with you like he messes with everyone. Still, alone with him he can be sweet. He makes you blush as much as he can because he’s a damn tease. Eric knows exactly how you react to him and uses it to his advantage every way he can.

Eric isn’t one for PDA, but he is one for dangerously risky maybe-could-get-caught kisses. He steals every second alone with you even if it’s in the middle of a currently empty, open hallway that someone could come down any second. That little gasp that he always gets from you whenever he grabs you quickly and presses his lips against yours is something that will never get old to him. Neither will the flame in your cheeks when he pulls away right before someone comes within eyesight of the two of you.

While he loves getting you flustered, when you’re alone he can also show you a more relaxed side to him. He lets his guard down around you and it’s a sight to see.

Eric and Sleep: he sleeps on his back, just from years of sleeping in a coffin. He doesnt move around much in his sleep unless hes sleeping with someone and decides cuddles are necessary.

Eric and Music: Eric listens to old music, most of which isnt in english. Primarily Swedish and he doesnt care if you cant understand it.

Headcanon that Eric has a full routine on the nights Bill wakes up with nightmares. He's learned enough in the kitchen to make tea, which doesnt seem like much but hes proud of it. He keeps a weighted blanket for him and holds him until he falls asleep again. He tells him stories of his younger days to help ease his mind while Bill drinks the tea. If hes away during the night he drops everything and comes running.

Eric doesnt drink. Its not that he cant, he just prefers not to. Hes old enough he doesnt need it to curb hunger and he prefers to drink the only thing he needs. Its very very rare he has a drink other than blood.

I made this for Eric's bf @billbeatthedevil and heres a headcanon to go along with it.

Headcanon- Eric is very supportive of Bill's writing. He has every book he can get his hands on and has them displayed at his home and a couple in his office at Fangtasia. He always wants to be the first to read anything Bill writes and can sometimes be a little too blunt about the endings.

Eric is fluent in Swedish. Its actually his first language but he only does it when he either doesnt want someone to know what hes saying or sometimes he might moan in Swedish if hes particularly enjoying the sex.
