Being Tony Stark’s daugher and dating Steve Rogers would involve:
First meeting Steve when you go to the Avengers Compound with your father on an off chance, really.
You didn’t really like being there (you’ve found ‘gifted individuals’ to be quite self absorbed, and so not good company), but you had decided to go after your friend had cancelled on you.
Meeting Steve after Tony is showing off his new tech he’d built for Steve.
Not that he would say it to Tony, but Steve thought you were the most beautiful women he had ever seen. The way you lit up the room with your laughter, and your smile made his heart flutter.
[“Captain, I’d like you to meet my daughter, Y/N.”
“Hi Captain Rogers. Pleasure to meet you.”
“T-the pleasure is all mine. Oh, and no need to call me Captain- Steve is just fine.”
“Okay, okay, enough fratenizing with my child please, Rogers.”
“I’ll catch up with you another time, Steve.”
Going to the Avengers Compoud more and more with Tony just to get a chance to see Steve.
Teaching Steve how to use social media. ((Mostly so you can message him on social media, and actually meet up with him outside of the Compound.))
Messaging him most days, and sending him memes.
Eventually, Steve asks you out for coffee, and you eagerly agree.
Taking on tours around New York City, and showing him how much it has changed- and him telling you stories about his past, and especially Brooklyn.
Steve drawing you. At first, without you knowing, and then you catch him drawing you- and then he can no longer hide it from you. He gushes from your praise; he’s not very good at accepting compliments.
After about weeks of taking you on dates, Steve asks you to ‘go steady.’
Hiding it at first. You know how your father feels about Steve, and you’re definitely not going to be the one to tell him. Well, not just yet.
Although Steve doesn’t feel good about lying or hiding things (especially from Tony), part of him enjoys the thrill of sneaking around with you. It makes him feel young again, like a teenager.
Steve never really got to have a young adult like due to going under the ice, so he feels like he’s making up for lost time.
You enjoy PDA, but Steve is a little bit shy about kissing in public because of the way he was raised, but he warms up to it- especially because it made you so happy.
Taking selfies with Steve.
Steve accidentally posting it to his story. With millions of followers. Including Tony.
Trying to delete it, but it was too late.
Getting a phone call from your father not even a minute after that photo was posted. ((This freaked Steve out, but it was now or never in terms of telling your father.))
[“Hi Dad, how can I help you?”
“Don’t play dumb with me, Y/N. Rogers?! Rogers, are you there?! Get your hands off of her-”
“Get away from each other! I-”
“-Dad, please calm down! Steve and I... This isn’t a casual fling- we’re dating. This is serious.”
“Hi Y/N, Steve, this is Pepper. I’ve taken the phone off of your father until he calms down. I think it’s best you speak to him in person.”
“Okay, thank you Pepper.”]
After he calms down, you speak to your father about dating Steve, and he relectantly accepts it even if he isn’t happy about it. He knows Steve is a good man, and will treat you well.
Keeping PDA to a minimum around your father.
Eventually telling the rest of the Avengers, but you tell Natasha first because you know her and Steve is close.
Always being worried about him (and your father) when he goes on missions, and making him promise to come back to you safe.
After you’ve been going steady for a while, you move in together.
