"Were-shark" by Eric Holmes and his son Chris, in Alarums & Excursions 13, July 15, 1976. Eric and Chris wrote up a number of stories from their D&D adventures for A&E, often illustrated by Chris. The following year saw the publication of the first Basic D&D set edited by Holmes, with his sample dungeon below Zenopus' tower and Portown also containing a sea cave with a beach, 2 boats, and a monster in the water.

wada sez: The strip after this one, easily the most notable Mosaic strip published, was explicitly released to celebrate the third anniversary of the Mosaic project—so I reckon it was intentional that this one was timed to coincide. Recognise the name Eric Holmes? That’s the writer of Megatron Origin! There’s no connection beyond that, however, with this being a straightforward standalone little character vignette inspired by Red Alert’s original Budiansky profile.
"Black Mask is one of the more practical villains that Batman faces. He doesn't create quirky challenges or mandate obscure tests - Roman Sionis wants to do business. His clothing represents his status and his realistic approach - He's enormously wealthy and he's the top dog."
No matter how tempting an alternate (and seemingly better) reality may seem. What we have now should be our focus.

(Hopefully by this point you’ve finished all episodes of ‘The Good Fight’ until the season 4 opener, the kind of person who isn’t bothered by spoilers, or are just deciding if you still want to keep watching.)

I'm glad that Eric Holmes also notes the downside of Hillary winning for the firm. That it's not healthy to have 'the grass is always greener' kind of thinking...because instead of making the most of the challenges....we end up looking at '...if only...'
It was quite interesting (though slightly surprising --- as no one in Diane’s dream really confirmed that Kurt had passed) to read at least one recap interpreting Act 3 as Kurt’s death (I did for a minute think that it wasn’t Gary Cole cloaked in shadow in the forest which ignited memories of ‘Not Will’ in ‘The Good Wife’).
And the ‘this is a dream’ reveal? I wasn’t bothered at all that Acts 1 & 2 (Or maybe I should call it 1-3? Since TV has 4? Or is it 5?) didn’t really make obvious about Diane being in a dream (I mean...there was a bit of a hint that there was something different...not just the static...also the opening credits)...because....isn’t the goal is to at least have us believe that we might have a whole season (or multiple episode arcs....like Felicity) of an alternate reality?
PS: Can we have a Felix Staples vs Elsbeth Tascioni at some point in the future?
PPS: The New York Times did a recap!!!! :)))))))

HIGHLIGHT:
INT. REDDICK/BOSEMAN (HALLWAY) - DAY
LUCCA walks out of DIANE's office worried. She throws one last look before moving forward.
A pause. She notices that ADRIAN is in LIZ's office. A quick look back at DIANE. Well...it's for her own good anyway.
She takes a deep breath, approaches the door, knocks and enters.
INT. REDDICK/BOSEMAN (LIZ'S OFFICE) - CONTINUOUS
LIZ and ADRIAN stop their discussion and look expectantly at LUCCA.
LUCCA
Do you have a minute?
ADRIAN
What do you need?
LUCCA closes the door and sneaks a peek at Diane's Office.
LUCCA
I'm worried about Diane.
Another look. All clear.
LUCCA
We were just in a meeting with Zoe Redgrave, and she didn't know what we were talking about.
LIZ
Zoe didn't know what we---
LUCCA
No. Diane didn't.
ADRIAN
What were you talking about?
LUCCA
The Supreme Court.
LUCCA turns to Diane's office. LIZ follows shortly after, then ADRIAN. And we see---
LUCCA, LIZ, and ADRIAN's POV: DIANE watching more news while dancing.

wada sez: Just before the project bows out, here’s one last strip by Megatron Origin writer Eric Holmes. Maybe you missed Razorclaw hiding in the back of panel six... along with a naked tree lady! She’s a cameo of Lafuente's unrelated OC "Treesha", included by Adams to try and entice Lafuente into coloring the strip; evidently she agreed.
