"Heavy hearts at TV Girl headquarters today. ...
... It’s a cliche to say someone was loved by all but in this case I think it happens to be true. I knew him only a relatively short time, but my every single memory of Eric is a good one. The one that stand out goes like this. One day I must have been complaining about how I had no skater friends in NYC to film me doing my stupid little tricks. Eric volunteered and I was selfish enough to take him up on it. So even tho he didn’t skate. Even tho he had to take an hour train commute after a hard day at a real job. In the freezing cold. With a smile on his face he filmed me fail at some dorky trick until I felt so bad I went and bought him a burrito. On the train home he explained in detail the latest developments in the never-ending graffiti wars along the eyeline of the J train. I found it fascinating. The way he followed obscure graffiti writers like some people follow their favorite sports teams. That’s just the kind of guy he was. He was a friend of artists. Always down for the cause and never far from the action. As you get older you appreciate just how rare people like him really are. I was lucky enough to see him once this past year. He took a night off working on a record in LA and hung out with me and Wyatt on the porch, we drank beers and played guitar and talked about girls and music and whatever. Later he came back to my house. We watched a Nirvana concert film and mused about the curious alchemy of the “power trio” I said I’d see him in Chicago next time we came through. Guess it’ll be longer than that. But we’ll meet again. In that great DIY space in the sky. For those unfamiliar: Eric Littmann (phantom power/phantom posse/Steve Sobs) It goes without saying his memory will live on through the classic records he produced and made. (Forever Underground is the great unheralded chillwave record imo) If anyone out there has a picture of Eric performing with the Yohuna band during the TV Girl show at Elsewhere in may of 2019. It would be appreciated."
Leader -
The Leader's goal is to keep his or her alliance or sub-alliance in the house for as long as possible so that his or her control of the game increases. Leaders will most often select the aggressive competitive approach, although they will sometimes choose selective maneuvering. A common example was the 3AM alliance from BB15, being made of Amanda Zuckerman Zachman*, McCrae Olson and Andy Herren as Amanda was leading the alliance to F3, but that failed when Andy evicted her at the double eviction alongside Elissa Reilly Slater** at the final 7/8.
*Amanda went by Amanda Zuckerman at the time

New York, NY -- This week, Phantom Posse (led by Eric Littmann) gave us another taste of their upcoming album Forever Underground. The newest track from the album is “Find You Out,” featuring Emily Yacina. As with a lot of Phantom Posse tracks, there’s a dreamy lucidity to them that draws listeners into an immersive sonic world. The lushness on “Find You Out” feels like a kaleidoscope of daydreams and Yacina’s vocals is the sweet cherry on top.
Forever Underground is out March 20 via Orchid Tapes.

Phantom Posse – “It’s All You” (Feat. Vagabon’s Laetitia Tamko & GABI) The New York collective Phantom Posse has been putting out music for the better part of the last decade, and they're kicking off 2020 with a new album called Forever Underground. The project revolves around producer Eric Littmann, who in the past year has worked on great albums with Emily Yacina … More »
New York, NY -- Phantom Posse (aka Eric Littmann) will be releasing his new album Forever Underground on March 20 via Orchid Tapes. The first peek into the record is “It’s All You,” featuring Laetitia (of Vagabon) and GABI. The track is just under 2 minutes long but it’s truly a burst of lushness that’ll have you feel like you’re floating. “It’s All You” still reminds me of the very first Phantom Posse track I heard - “Posse Posse Yeah” from PORTALS Mixtape #14. The production is definitely cleaner now but Littmann stays true to his layered synthy sound and I love the addition of the orchestral strings.
GABI – “Sleep”
New York-based experimental singer and composer Gabrielle Herbst, better known as GABI, is returning this fall with her sophomore album Empty Me. Born partially out of half-asleep keyboard improvisations in the middle of the night, Empty Me was fully realized with the help of friends and collaborators including Julie Byrne producer Eric Littman, harpist Marilu … More »
