Jeff Meltz a/k/a @thecultureofme is a New York City photographer and blogger who aims to document the lives and lifestyles of the young and vital, including music, art, fashion, culture and nightlife.

For CMJ 2014, Meltz teamed up with analog film company The Impossible Project to snap an instant film portrait series of exciting new artists like Honduras, Ménage, Anna Rose, Julia Weldon, Angela Moyra, and a slew of others. Scope the first half of the series above, and stay tuned for the rest…

Q&A: Normaling

Lemz and .rar Kelly can read each other’s minds. The Baltimore duo who go by Normaling told me when I caught up with them recently that they usually find themselves making music while in parallel moods. Call it chance or fate, but this conscious connection results in the kind of kinetic music that plays like a conversation between people who know each other very well.
