District Gamma had character, to say the least, but she wasn’t worried about her safety, or any such thing. she was merely exploring the place she was to call home for an indeterminable amount of time. the fog was certainly a tad much, but the overall atmosphere was fine. she supposed she’d rather have a dismal place to stay rather than a bright and cheery one, though it mattered little in the long run.
there was a lack of other people in the district, and Mira was left alone with her thoughts and the soft clack of her heels on the ground. what a shitty outcome; she’d been plucked from the aftermath of what was one of the most euphoric moments of her life, sitting on a soft, blood soaked bed with a comforting heart in her hands.
now she was here, in a strange city. there was nothing she could do about it, really, so she got over it.
that is, until she sees the man who the aforementioned heart belonged to a little ways in front of her.
“Eric,” his name sounds odd to say now, like he’s from a previous chapter in her life. “You look lost.”
