Never interrupt a demon’s Wallow Time™️
More Mother Hen Crowley and Ineffable juniors:
We had a LOVELY time on stream today! I loved doing the 'drawing requests' format and would love to make that a regular part of the ol' stream rotation.
We did a nice 1920s fem Aziraphale:
A fun pattern-heavy punk rock Eric:
And the third one... well I'll be working on that one more to show you what might be the funniest idea I've heard in a while. SO GOOD. Poor Crowley... ;P
Baby Eric on the underground!!!
Eric thinks Aziraphale and I fought.
Not with words, but actually had a brawl or…whatever. A physical altercation.
And that I won? Or at least came out the other side.
If that had actually happened I’m reasonably sure that he would wipe the fucking floor with me.
So before any other demons get any funny ideas, this is my advice: do NOT try to fight Supreme Archangel Aziraphale, former Guardian of the Eastern Gate.
Eric the demon is one of the girls
I missed @kedreeva 's headcanon o'clock yesterday, so I'm just going to throw it out there: hc that Eric the disposable demon has a crush on Crowley.
Evidence: he's the only other demon we see who's clean and pretty not just on Earth but in hell too AND he knew enough about Crowley's work to know he'd invented the selfie. Your honor, I rest my case.
Can demons reproduce?
Hear me out.
As @asgardian--angels mentions in this post (which is a fun potpurri of book canon facts that you should read anyway) there’s a line that mentions young demons (and how they like to ice skate on door-to-door salesman).
Where would young demons come from? “Corrupt humans” seems like an obvious answer, but given how much is made of the difference between humans and demons, and how demons can’t match humans for creativity and instead have to get inspiration from them, that seems highly unlikely.
I could see this as being a thoughtless line that’s just for the joke, but then there’s Eric/Disposable Demon from the series that makes me think maybe there’s something to it.
Eric acts more like a young adult than any of the other demons. He knows what a selfie is, he’s more fashionable, he’s energetic and a little impulsive. Every other demon we see (yes, even Crowley, the flash bastard) looks and feels middle aged. They’re set in their ways, they won’t keep up with modern technology, they are cranky. But Eric isn’t like that. Eric feels more like a millennial, trying to have a little fun at work.
Where would demon babies come from? Well, not enough info to say. The physical way? Some sort of miracle? A ritual? I’ll leave that up to your imagination.
What gets to me though, is that this is sort of a horrifying implication. These would be demons who were born that way, and never had the chance to rebel or not rebel. Given, the demons who did rebel did get a pretty severe punishment, but these would be demons who never had any other options. That’s pretty horrifying.
Also, that raises the question angel reproduction. Demons and angels are made from the same stock, and while I highly doubt that any angels would be willing to do something like that, I would be willing to bet that they’d be just as capable. (Making an effort an all that, as they say.)
What does this mean? Nothing, other than fic opportunities and a new perspective on some world building.
