Derek stares at their linked hands. Anything to not stare at Erica's stomach. Still flat. No one would guess that there's a heartbeat thrumming to a different melody than Erica's inside.

"Derek?" Erica says, snapping Derek's focus to his beta's concerned frown. "You ok?"

"I think we broke him," says Isaac genially. And Erica elbows her boyfriend in the side.

"A cub?" Derek finally musters out, his voice full of wonder. Erica's smile lights up the room.

"You're going to be a grandalpha," Erica grins.

"Oi, what about me?" says Isaac, pouting.

"You're going to be an amazing father," beams Erica, pressing their joined hands to her stomach. Isaac's smile turns from shit-eating to tender and enraptured by the gift his mate has given him.

Derek smiles, his pack is growing. He figures he should start setting a better example. Maybe get a car seat for the Camaro.
