Although the album credits listed a full band of other players, it was actually recorded alone by Prince with additional saxophone and flute parts added by Eric Leeds. "Because it’s not a vocal album, my saxophone and flute is the equivalent of the lead vocalist,” Eric Leeds told @JazzTimesMag in 2020. "He did this for me. I’m humbled by that. #quarantunes it's Friday and so far everything's been a bit of a madhouse, so I figured I'd put on some actual music by the band #madhouse, an instrumental side project of #prince throughout the 80s that basically married Minneapolis funk to a late 70s / early 80s jazz fusion vibe, with the rumor that all of the members of the band were actually just #EricLeeds and Prince himself.
