Examples of all my work done in 3D character animation throughout 2015 and before. I hope you guys enjoy it!
Shot Breakdown:
Segment 1: Pantomime
In Autodesk Maya, I used the Max rig created by Peter Starostin and James Hunt.
Segment 2: Girl and Monster Interaction
Storyboarded and animated the whole scene in Maya, using the Mathilda Rig (created by Leon Li-Aun Sooi and Xiong Lin) and the Tiny Rig (downloaded from user chadmv on CreativeCrash). The pistol model was downloaded from TurboSquid, and the girl’s shaking was created using a keyframe randomizer script created by Sina Seifee.
Segment 3: Dialogue
Storyboarded the scene and wrote the dialogue with feedback from the voice actress, Aleyse Shannon. She recorded her lines with the help of Riccardo Schulz and William Middleton. Animated the scene using the Bonnie rig created by Josh Sobel. I modeled the phone.
Segment 4: Jumping
Animated in Autodesk Maya using the Morpheus Rig created by Josh Burton. I modeled the gymnastics bar.
Segment 5: Limp Walk Cycle
Animated using the Mathilda Rig (created by Leon Li-Aun Sooi and Xiong Lin) in Autodesk Maya.
"Sometimes it's hard to satisfy ourselves..."
Created for the Experimental Animation course with Crystal Yip at Carnegie Mellon University back in February 26, 2015 . We used Dragonframe, After Effects, Premiere, and Photoshop to create this animation. We used the Dragonframe software and a model that Crystal made for the stop-motion. Among the other things I did was animate the drawn face, create the background, and masked the real face with After Effects. I hope the many hours of stop-motion and animating were worth it!
Something funny I realized with my friends
The other day we were talking. Some of us are older brothers or younger brothers.
The younger brother's all said "Dude. My older brother doesn't give two shits about me."
The older brother's who only had a younger brother just said "Eh. My brother can deal with life on his own. He'll be a man."
However. When the topic of having a little sister came up. It was quite different.
One of my friends said "No guys can talk to my sister. Only my sister can talk to them."
Someone else said "If someone goes near my little sister and breaks her heart. I'mma break their face."
I just said "Every guy needs to get past me and get my approval. Whoever does and hurts her will end up like my walls."
The moral of the story? Our little brothers will grow up and be like men but if we had little sisters. They will be untouchable.
