PMR is hard! I could only handle it for a few weeks before money, time and space made me stop. I think you mentioned you’d been having health issues too? :O Good luck going forward! <3
Yeah, for us, the switch is solely due to health issues. We’ve been feeding PMR for 9 months now, have a whole separate freezer dedicated to storing the meat for it (which will not go to waste even now since Chad hunts anyway), and had all our suppliers lined up so while it wasn’t cheap, it wasn’t outrageous also. But when Piper’s bloodwork came back as abnormal and the vet and nutrition consult suggested that the diet she was on would likely aggravate things, that was it for me. I’m not going to dick around with potential renal disease in an under 2 year-old dog, even if she seems to be doing fine otherwise. :/
