god I am so normal about foxtrap. i'm completely normal. i've written a normal amount of him and cathawk play-fighting and rolling through the wall of the tent.
I love writing animal hybrids so much, and seeing the little details that take this beyond aesthetic changes is... god. It's so rare to see something that isn't just "ears and a tail".
HELLO I WOULD LOVE TO SEE FOXTRAP AND CATHAWK STUFF
Oh yeah I went. deranged with the amount of anatomical detail involved. I know a Normal Amount about foxes and their anatomy and their reproductive behaviors. I know that at least for me it was important to dig into the exact mechanics of it because I started out in the Doctor Who fandom and there's tons of Time Lord speculative biology stuff going on over there that I always really enjoyed digging into. Of course Trapper's going to have more going on than just the ears and tail. There's a sliding scale of alterations caused by curses in this verse (which you can get a better look at in Head and Shoulders, Tails and Paws by @seepweed) and Trapper is at the very high end of that scale. He might look mostly human but he's about half fox in his mind. God I need to write more foxtrap stuff from his perspective especially once he's comfortable with his partners and opens himself up to actually letting the fox instincts out to play at home.
