Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight came out January 13, 1995. For 30 years, it has been one of my favorite horror movies. One that I've had on DVD and one that I've watched numerous times.

Ernest Dickerson, whose work I have enjoyed on several occasions is still with us.

Not to mention, the movie's unlikely final girl, Jeryline's actress Jada Pinkett Smith.

I know there's been conversations in horror communities over the years about whether or not the movie could or should have a sequel.

And due to the fact that the ending let us know that the saga was not over for Jeryline, and the fact that since this movie, especially in recent years, not only have Black final girls increased in content, but Black horror movies have become more attainable.

I would love to see another Demon Knight, with a now polished Jeryline, used to battling collectors and demons, getting ready to pass the key on to the next knight. But. I would like it to be a whole Black movie.

Original Demon Knight has a Black star and at least one more Black character, and in the end, a new collector, who is also Black. We can get a Demon Knight with an all (or predominantly) Black cast, with Ernest Dickerson directing, or at the very least involved with production, and with Jada Pinkett Smith reprising her role, like Ripley be doing, but getting ready to make for some new person or people to get in there.

Who would we like to see in the horror situation that is humans vs demons until one is left standing to take up the battle?
