Dreaming the image into being... it’s almost like it just appears, I’m not sure what I’m really doing... but I watch it unfold in front of my eyes. Like a puzzle coming together I don’t see it all at once. Patterns... composition... harmonies. There’s music in it... whispers that come from the plants and the wind. . . . #transformation2020🎨 #mischtechnik #underpainting #ernstfuchs #paintingclass #onlinepainting #onlinepaintingcourse https://www.instagram.com/p/CCxIMW5pA8k/?igshid=1l7s9tmgy5vpk
Today, on my day off from teaching, I got the chance to go visit the Ernst Fuchs Museum, dedicated to this forefather of European Visionary Art. It was a very Trippy Palace full of the impressive paintings and sculptures he did before departing. So original n masterful, it left me wondering why it wasn’t as packed as the mainstream museums I had visited the prior day. If you ever pass through Vienna, it’s a must go! #ernstfuchs #visionaryart #fantasticart #vienna #austria #ernstfuchsmuseum (at ERNST FUCHS Museum)

A very surreal Saturday... 16 of us traveled 4 hrs by train to visit the Apocalypse Chapel by Ernst Fuchs in Klagenfurt, Austria’s baroque church St. Egid. It has been 12 years since I have been here... and the last time I was there I was helping finish it. This chapel took 20 years to paint with over 20 assistants... I worked on it with the Professor for 5 summers, he asked me to paint all the drapery framing the images in heaven, amongst many other things. I’m still digesting this experience yesterday and all that has happened in the meantime. I felt his presence and his prayer as well as that of Maitritsch who facilitated this project over all those years. They have transitioned into the next realm and have left riddles for us to discover... . Ernst Fuchs once told me when I asked him for a clue on where the light was coming from so I could start on the drapery: “The light of God comes from everywhere” he said, and with a twinkle in his eye he left me alone to figure it out 💫 . . . @stefan.lucas.art @phil.joannides @davedaku @shadedmirrors @alecia_sacredheart @linnpeihan @psigidelia @raphafuchsartwork @radiate.indigo @violavice @moongeometry @bella.kopp.artworks @erwindebeul @jeancharles_vignal @rupalisosart @prolifik_ink @kevin.campeau.art @be.l.art @academyofvisionaryart . . . #visiontrain #visiontraining #peacetrain #visionaryart #apocalypse #apocalypsechapel #ernstfuchs #ernstfuchsapocalypsechapel (at Stadthauptpfarrkirche St. Egid, Klagenfurt) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bw0ZyA7BqLj/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=9cc8tdmysucr
Transmission is a multi-dimensional thing... I would put it in the category of magic things. We learn in so many different ways. Actually we’re constantly learning if we are curious. If we are open. . I’m reminiscing on the transmissions I received while working with Ernst Fuchs. They were definitely multi-dimensional and I am remembering more and more as time goes by. . I sure wish he was still around... he would’ve loved going to Burning Man. He loved hearing my stories and I loved showing him all the art I was discovering out in the world. He also really adopted the term ‘Visionary Art’ near the end of his earthly life and was overjoyed to see the ripples that have been created from his teachings and work. . I feel him often near, slightly up and behind me. Supportive, humorous and ever so disciplined😎 Looking forward to the next 5 weeks of passing on the transmissions at the @academyofvisionaryart in Vienna with a full class of 21 students🙌 . I painted this shortly after he passed in 2015. . ‘Transmission’ acrylic, casein & oil on canvas 11x14” . #ernstfuchs #fantasticrealism #amandasage #visionaryart #selfportrait #viennaacademyofvisionaryart #vienna (at The Vienna Academy of Visionary Art - VAVA) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bv7paewBL4S/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1peqjzlh1vgfa
