Facts about Camille Rainer, plus explanation of erratic magic
-Camille is Indian (or some other form of South Asian maybe)
-Camille can be described as childish in a sense that she is a child at heart, much like Bianca. She starts out with a slightly more realist perspective on life, but is now more open to being a dreamer and wanting a better world.
-Camille has anger issues but they don’t define her. She wishes she could be calmer, since people tend to avoid her once they see her lashing out because of a temper she cant control. She doesn’t want to be seen as violent and wants people to see who she truly is inside.
-Camille is “more than meets the eye”, she’s emotional and thoughtful behind her temper. She’s loyal to Bianca and doesn’t judge people who have differences.
-Camille mostly gets angry about the things that are wrong in the world. Bullies, malice, and people with bad intentions.
-Camille cancels out Bianca’s flaws, and Bianca cancels out Camille’s flaws. They form a wonderful team when they are together.
-Camille is an orphan (At least in the Whimsica Saga universe)
-She loves swimming pools. When she sees one, she has to swim in it.
-Ironically, she’s terrified of the ocean, because it’s so deep, vast, and mysterious.
-Camille can swim at the beach however, but not too far out, and not when the waves are too strong.
-Any pool depth more than 10 feet gives Camille the chills.
-Despite Camille’s blue color scheme and love of cheese, she dislikes blue cheese.
-Like Bianca, she’s pretty unlucky because things tend to go wrong for her.
-Her middle name is planned on being revealed to be cursed.
-It is revealed that she has erratic magic and that’s why she has had such bad luck. Her magical powers amplify when she’s in Whimsica.
-Bianca’s erratic magic is space-related. Camille’s erratic magic is time-related.
-Erratic magic is a rare, very hard-to-control form of reality-warping magic that is potentially very strong. In fact, in rare cases it could put the world in danger if the magic is very strong and the user is not in control. The magic gets stronger as the user practices it, which is almost impossible to do on command as the magic is very erratic. It turns out that the erratic magic is actually controllable by believing in oneself, as cheesy as it is. People who have this kind of magic bestowed onto them tend to doubt themselves because of the clumsy effects of the magic, sending them into a downwards spiral where their magic becomes harder to control. (NOTE: Erratic magic in its weaker form tends to cause many common accidents, such as knocking over a can of paint or tripping.)
-Whimsica magic in general becomes stronger to a particular user if they “fulfill themselves”. Fulfilling oneself is usually accomplishing a certain goal of fulfilling a certain purpose in life. Once fulfilled, the magic user is able to transform into a magical alias (Think a mahou shoujo). When they use magic in this form, it’s considerably stronger.
-The most common thing that Whimsicans think of when they hear erratic magic is the ability, controlled or not, to warp. People with space erratic magic warp through space. People with time erratic magic would warp through time!
-Bianca is themed after the moon, which symbolizes “space”. Camille is themed after the ocean, which symbolizes an “ocean of time”.
-Over time, as the story progresses, Bianca and Camille are planned to get their magic under control, but then something happens when they cause the world to be in danger. After that, they save the world with the power of believing in themselves. They are planned on eventually becoming very powerful and wise magic users in the future, even though they started as very unlikely heroes who grew up on Earth; a world that seemingly has no magic.
-The future Bianca and Camille become accomplished in more ways than one, not only as magic users, but as people. They become considerably more mature, braver, and have big hearts like no other.
