@erratiomerula , [ STARGAZING ] Saleos @ Jade, except maybe he's late night mushroom gathering and she's watching from a high tree branch.
SEEING HIM OUT ON THE MOUNTAIN, it was the least formal he had ever looked. his usual suit & tie look traded for some hiking gear instead. plenty of times had he run into unfortunate accidents, tripping, falling, slipping — none of this he was immune to. while jade was well accustomed to his human legs, it didn’t mean that he was the most talented on them either. though when one had a club that consisted of one member — whether it was for a lack of interest, or for a lack of trying to find others to accompany him, he had to rely on himself at all times. though with high risk came reward, and he was never disappointed with what he could find at the most dangerous parts of the mountain. he would find lots of different wildlife, even some flowers — or other plants that he liked to keep for his own personal record; the more uses that they had for him the better, whether it was for potion - making, or if they were flat out poisonous to humans.
with gloved hands, he would search around late into the night. a small light affixed to his head, his eyes were no better in the darkness as they were in the day time. though that didn’t stop him from taking the opportunity for some extracurricular activities; if they could be called that when it was only one person on the hunt. or rather, it was intended to only be one person — but he was all too aware of the other’s presence. if they had simply wished to join him, all they had to do was ask. he was always eager to share his hobbies with others, though getting hands dirty was not for everyone. getting up from the ground, he looks up to the other with a side glance. the lights on the side of his goggles only illuminating her for a moment. ❝ if you would have liked a formal invitation, you only had to tell me that you were interested. ❞ perhaps such formalities were not her style, but jade was always looking for someone to partake on his muddy endeavors. his own twin held no interest & would likely only spoil his findings; as for their housewarden …. he could not foresee him successfully making the climb without a handful of complaints.
❝ it may seem unsettling, but the night is the best hour for this kind of endeavor. ❞ turning off the light for a moment, he looked over the vegetation, some of it glowing faintly in the moonlight. nothing about the terrain around this area was all that normal, which was exactly what peaked his interest. such strange growth reminded him of his homeland. he was accustomed to the darkness, even if their species did not come with adequate eyesight for the occasion.
