“Movie night! Movie night!” You could hear Micah chanting from the living room as you made the popcorn. You couldn’t help but giggle, reaching up to the top of your cabinet to pull out your big bowl. “Angel? You okay?” Micah asked, making his way into the kitchen. One of the pillows was still tucked away in his arms.
“Yup,” you assured, getting the bowl down finally with a bit of maneuvering on your end. You stepped back, so the bowl could land on the cold stove.
“Is that a candy bowl?”
“Yup,” you repeated with a cheeky grin as you showed off your plastic black cat candy bowl. “Halloween bowl for a Halloween Movie Marathon,” you told him with a slight cheeky grin. The two of you had the whole say with snacks and movies. First, you were going to start with what was arguably the most scary Disney movie, Don’t Look Under The Bed, and end the night with Halloweentown 3: Halloweentown High because Micah doesn’t fuck with the fourth Halloweentown movie, apparently.
The DING of the microwave caught your attention. You walked over with your bucket and emptied out the contents from the bag into your bowl.
“I can’t wait,” Micah said, his free arm sliding around your waist for a quick squeeze before he let you go and headed to the living room. The living room was set up with snacks, drinks, and a pallet on the floor with all sorts of pillows and blankets. You even had a few stuffed animals around, Micah gifted all of them to you.
You put the bowl on your coffee table with the rest of the snacks before you lowered yourself onto the floor and waited for Micah to climb in beside you. He had abandoned the pillow in his arm so he could pull you close and start the movie.
It was a simple date night, but it was fun. Who wouldn’t have a good time cuddling to a good movie with your partner?
