since you said you imagined eggman complaining about it, how do you think he'd reacts to being squeezed / squished when hugged ?
There are times he likes to be squeezed through hugs and such, as long as it's light and gentle. It can feel good that way and he'll find it quite amusing and entertaining. He agrees that his belly is soft, squishy, and fun to play with! It's a lot of fun if handled in the exact way he likes it.
He can enjoy having his cheeks being squished a bit and finds that funny too, as long as it isn't done too roughly and his perfect stache doesn't get ruffled up from it. Or they'll at least help him fix it up after because it's important that it always looks its best!
But sometimes it won't be quite so welcome and that's when he complains. He doesn't like having his tummy squished not long after a meal because he needs to rest and digest. Especially if it makes him burp because then he can get a little embarrassed.
The same goes for if he's trying to go to sleep and is squeezed too much during cuddling. He won't get really mad or irritated but he'll groan and whimper a bit until they loosen their grip and be more gentle with him. Then it can be a lot more enjoyable and he can still relax. 💜
