Hello, dear! You've been visited by the random character question fairy! :D ~☆
When someone wrongs your character, do they often choose revenge or forgiveness? What would drive them to revenge? What circumstances would make them forgive?
Hello friendly Random Character Question Fairy. Thanks for the ask!
I have a lot of oc’s in my BC fic; but since you didn’t specify an oc, I’m going to answer about Teris. FYI this response goes for the Teris of all my fics which means this response is for my fanfics ’Erase the Shadow’, ‘Lost Song’, and ‘Light In the Darkness’.
Teris has a temper and can be angered fairly easily whether there was an actual wrong or something she just perceived as a wrong. She’s quick to snap back and argue; and depending on the wrong or if the person apologized, she can hold a grudge.
If the wrong was made by someone she cares about and only affected her, she’ll forgive the person. Forgiveness for that person would come quicker if the person apologized, or at least calmly tried to explain their perspective. But even if the person didn’t apologize, things would eventually return to normal between them. Though if the person didn’t apologize, it’s guaranteed that Teris would use the persons wrong as ammo if/when they had another argument.
Since Teris is the type to snap and fight back, she rarely looks to get revenge on people. Even if she didn’t like the person and they wronged her, she would rarely look to ‘get back’ at the person passed the initial fight. Rare cases where she would look to get revenge would be if the person truly wronged her, like tried to kill her wronged her; or the person had seriously wronged someone she cares about.
