What she means: How did France not win Eurovision in the 1990s? The 1990 contest left them with by far the most 12s of the year, and 1991 saw them implicated in the first and thus far only successful tie-break of the contest, yet with both efforts they ended up second to, in my opinion, inferior songs. Even besides that, many, if not most, of France's songs in that decade were incredibly interesting and innovative, with a wide range of cultures, languages and concepts included, and yet the juries never fully supported these very successful mixtures of cultural and modern styling. And now, it's hard to see another win the horizon for a country which has long since lost interest in the contest, a real shame when you consider they could have been at least seven wins strong if the juries had done their jobs right.
