He's been devouring books since he could read, and writing since he could hold a pen, and he's in a phase of his life where he takes writing Very Very Seriously.

uncomfortable using the influence of his parents to get a job. he values self-sufficiency/self-reliance, and feels very strongly about earning it on his own merits.
not so sure how much he wants to write for a network, even if his parents weren't huge.
to him, the future of the television industry, and writing in general, lives or dies on the internet, and networks either need to embrace it, or get the hell out of the way.
though he doesn't flaunt it, he's rather a fan of alcohol and weed.
as a kid, he tried hard to be the best big brother he could be, and step into the shadow where is parents weren't. he was just a kid though, and sometimes he failed. sometimes, you just want to be a sixteen year old kid, and smoke in the park, rather than helping a thirteen year old with their algebra
(he really did try his best, though)
now that they're grown-ups, or practically so, he's trying to get out of his siblings way and let them run their own lives, but old habits always die hard.
He really doesn't know how to feel about Queenie being back in his life, but he's willing to smile as they both try their best, because that's what a good son does.
