I never thought that I would be obsessed with a line from Roger, but I absolutely love this line! Gotta be my favorite in the game. It encapsulates Sonic's whole character in this game. Because it isn't often that we see any doubt in him. Usually he's the one saying, "yeah, I can do this, let's have fun!" But ever since Giganto threw him across the whole freaking island of Kronos, he's having to be honest and say, "hmm, maybe I've finally found something I can't beat." But he's gonna keep trying, anyway.
And the way he says "the best I can," it's surprisingly soft and quiet, and I get a feeling that he's thinking, "well, if I don't make it, at least I gave it my all." No way anybody's ever taking this guy down without a fight.
